Why am I so scared of dying and what is coming next?

It's late, you're in bed, but sleep is far away. Thoughts about what happens when life ends roll around in your mind. You're not the only one who feels this. The unknown can be frightening. Yet, God offers comfort and reassurance even in these unsettling moments.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
- Psalm 23:4 (KJV)
Take a moment today to speak to God about your fears of the future. Picture the shepherd with you, guiding you safely. Ask Him to replace that fear with His peace, one breath at a time.
What moment today feels most uncertain to you?
Dear God, You know my fears and worries about death and what comes next. I ask for Your presence and comfort to fill these spaces of fear. Help me to trust in Your promise to be with me. Amen.
Say this out loud
I am not alone in my fear. God is with me, even in the shadow of death. His comfort is my strength today.
