Your first visit
We've Been Hoping You'd Come
Taking the first step into a new church can feel awkward. We know that. This page exists to remove every question before you arrive â so you can just show up.
Your real questions â answered
Things People Wonder Before Coming for the First Time
Do I have to dress up?
No dress code at all. Come in what you normally wear on a Sunday morning. Seriously.
Will people stare at me?
You'll be welcomed at the door by a real person. After that, no one will watch your every move.
Do I need to bring a Bible?
Nope. Everything is displayed during the service. Bring nothing except yourself.
Will they ask me to donate?
Offering is part of the service for members â but it's never directed at first-time visitors. Zero pressure.
What if I haven't been to church in years?
Most people at FGI are coming back to faith or starting fresh. You'll fit in immediately.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many people walk in alone and leave feeling like they belong. That's what we're here for.
What about my kids?
Children are welcome in the service. Ask a team member on arrival about children's arrangements.
Do I have to speak or pray out loud?
Never. You can sit, listen, and observe. Take your time. Nothing is required of you on your first visit.
Who comes to FGI
This Is for You Ifâ¦
You don't need to be Christian, religious, or certain about anything to walk through our doors. FGI is a place for people who are searching, questioning, and figuring life out.
Our community includes residents from Pretoria North, Karenpark, Akasia, Atteridgeville, Soshanguve, Wonderboom, and Montana.
