Why do I feel let down by everyone and everything in my life?

You handed someone your hope. Maybe it was a friend who went quiet, a plan that collapsed, a person who promised and then disappeared. Saturday morning and instead of rest you are carrying that flat, heavy feeling that life keeps not delivering. That feeling has a name. It is not weakness. It is what happens when we load onto people and things a weight they were never built to hold. David knew it too, and this is what he landed on:
"My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him."
- Psalm 62:5 (KJV)
Take one person or one situation that has let you down, and say their name or describe it out loud, just to God, right now. Then tell Him, 'I am moving my hope off this and onto You.' One sentence. That is the shift that changes a Saturday.
Who were you counting on most when things fell apart?
God, I will be honest. I have been disappointed, and it hurts. Move my hope off people and onto You today. You have never once let me down, and I choose to believe that again right now. Amen.
Say this out loud
My hope does not rest on people. It rests on God, and He does not disappoint. I am putting my expectation where it belongs today.
