Why do I feel like I am drowning in everything at once?
By Ricardo Zaal, Founder and Lead Pastor ·

It is 6 this morning and you have not even started yet, but the list is already running in your head. The school fees. The deadline. The relative who needs you. The thing you said yesterday that you cannot undo. It piles up faster than you can sort it, and somewhere between the alarm and the bathroom mirror you feel it, that sinking feeling, like the water is above your chin. That feeling has a name. It is called being human under too much weight. And into exactly that moment, Jesus says this:
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
- Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
Pick the one heaviest thing pressing on you right now, just one. Tonight, before you open your phone or switch on the TV, sit down and say it out loud to God. Not a long prayer. Just: 'Lord, this one thing is too heavy for me.' Hand it over. One thing. That is enough for today.
What is the one thing weighing on you the most right now?
Lord, I am carrying more than I can hold. I bring it to you today, all of it. Take the weight I was never meant to carry alone, and give me the rest you promised. Amen.
Say this out loud
I am not meant to carry this alone. Jesus has made room for me to put it down. I come to him today and I receive his rest.
Tomorrow: Why does everyone else seem so far ahead of me in life?
