Why do I keep failing no matter how hard I try?

Why do I keep failing no matter how hard I try? - Fountain of Grace International

You set the alarm early. You did everything right. You studied, you prepared, you showed up. And still it did not work. Again. There is a specific kind of tired that comes not from laziness but from trying hard and watching it fall apart anyway. It makes you wonder if something is broken in you. It is not. The psalm-writer Asaph sat in exactly that same confusion, and what he found was this:

"My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."

- Psalm 73:26 (KJV)

Tonight, before you sleep, say out loud to God the one thing you tried hardest at this week that still did not go the way you needed. Not a prayer list. Just that one thing. Tell Him you are tired of it. Then sit still for thirty seconds and let Him be the strength you ran out of.

What did you try hardest at this week?

God, my effort is not enough and I am tired of failing. I am not giving up on You. Be the strength my heart has run out of today. Amen.

Say this out loud

My failing does not mean God has failed me. He is the strength of my heart when mine runs dry. I am still held.

Tomorrow: Why does my life feel frozen when I want to move forward?
