Why does everyone else seem so far ahead of me in life?

You opened Instagram this morning, maybe while the kettle was still boiling, and there it was. Someone from your old school, new house. Someone your age, promoted. A cousin's wedding, a friend's baby, a colleague's holiday photos. And then you looked at your own life and did the quiet, brutal maths. It is a pain most people carry but almost nobody says out loud. You are not strange for feeling it. You are human. And into that exact feeling, God says something worth hearing.

"The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage."

Tonight, before you open your phone, sit for three minutes and name two or three things that are yours and only yours. Your people. A moment from this week that no one else had. Then tell God you are handing the comparison back to Him. Ask Him to show you your own line, not someone else's.

God, I am tired of measuring myself against everyone else's highlight reel. Show me the good You have placed inside my own life. Help me to trust that my line is mine on purpose. Amen.
