Why does God feel so distant when I need Him most?

Why does God feel so distant when I need Him most? - Fountain of Grace International

You prayed this morning. Maybe yesterday too. And the ceiling felt like concrete. No warmth, no word, just silence where you expected something. That feeling is not new, and it is not a sign that something is wrong with you. Even inside the Bible, a prophet looked up and said exactly what you are feeling right now. God himself called it hiding.

"Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour."

- Isaiah 45:15 (KJV)

Today, write one sentence on paper or in your phone notes: 'He was here on [name a specific date or moment you felt Him].'. Keep it short. That memory is not nostalgia. It is evidence, and evidence holds you when feeling fails.

God, the silence is hard. I do not understand it, but I choose to trust that you are still here even when I cannot feel you. Hold me in what I cannot see. Amen.
