So the message that is today is for the person who is always looking down on others but not really understanding what is it, what is the whole situation about being the least. If you look at the message, the person who always trying to climb to be seen, the person that is thinking that if you are higher, you'll be seeing the most important person in the room. the one who measures their work by their title you know like I'm a CEO, I am the boss, I am the owner of the company this is this person I'm talking about and their word is in their title so how they feel worthy is how they in their title So the person who only helps if he gets a reaction is the same person that you can almost say whenever he goes live and there is nobody on his live stream. If I make an example of today's live and there is nobody on his live stream. He thinks there is no impact because there is nobody there. So he will stop his life session because nobody is there. The person who will only help if he gets noticed. And the person that think he will only help if he gets something back. This is the message who it's for. And remember the problem that this specific person has is there's a flip side of things. This message is also for somebody who thinks that they don get seen for the mere fact that nobody applauding them Nobody is thinking, this guy do a great job because he feels like the job he's doing is insignificant. You know, when we're talking about an insignificant job, I make an example of the PA that think they are not worthy because the CEO has never told them how significant is the work they are doing. So this message today is for these two people. The one that feels I'm not worthy. we think greatness is about climbing to be a CEO or to be a company owner or to be a influencer who have 200k followers that is what we think and it's like almost as you get higher and higher and get more people to be under you you think you are the person that is better and the other way around the person that thinks that because they don't have much followers or they don't have much people listening to them they feel they're not worthy this is who the message is for and the ones who serve quietly you know those ones that whenever they do things, they do it in the quiet of times where people don't see them. If you're looking at somebody for argument's sake who comes early to church, pack up all the instruments, fix and clean the chairs, they feel that their work is insignificant. But the one thing that you must know, if that person didn't fix the chairs or clean the chairs for argument's sake, the one on the high horse who comes in with the white dress thinking that I am Lady Must D Because you think that you are Lady Miss D you can pack a chair now you must come inside and the chair is clean. What if that other person didn't clean the chair? Your white shirt or your white t-shirt or your white trouser that you are wearing, you can't sit on a dirty chair. This is who this message is for. and I want to let you know that if you're looking at this whole situation what I've explained to you now some might not be sitting on the extremes like I am not the CEO, I'm not the PA I'm not the person who thinks I'm on my high horses I'm not the person who thinks I'm not worthy you are in the middle but yet in some way or another you feel that you are not better than others. This is who the message is for. Let me make an example of such person. When you find the person at work being a CEO they feel like they are empowered but let them move into a church where they are a deacon. They feel lower. So in some way or another Your life has been having all this kind of highs and lows and then lows and highs. You know, it's like this. This is who this message is for. But I want to reiterate with you, this is what we call the principles of Jesus that we went. Today we are on the principle number 11. now principle number 11 is the biggest people are the ones who serve the biggest people are the ones who serve now this comes from a series of of messages that we have preached if you go to our youtube channel on fgi pretoria not pta not fgi pta not if you go to Fountain of Grace in International Pretoria North on YouTube. You will find all these messages. And if I can just give you a brief of all this Our first principle was come closer even when you feel too far gone to be touched This is the person that has wandered off and think God cannot touch them because they wandered off too far They don't think that God's grace can bring them back to where God has. Okay, I must not say the whole message, but I'm just trying to give you an understanding what the first principle was about. then that was preached on the 14th of June we went then up to principle number two is to show up yourself do not just pay the bills this was our father's day's message where we were saying some fathers just pay the bills some even went to go and buy soap they never came back but this is the message that was preached then principle number three release what was never yours to carry. Some of us carry things in our lives that we were not supposed to carry. It's somebody else's load that you have taken with you. And that was what the message was for. Then when you're looking at how you carry somebody else's things is the pain that you go through when somebody else is supposed to carry that pain. This is what the message was for. Then we go to Principle number four, take the root to God, not the symptoms. Somebody pray to God. He says, God, please, I would like to have a car. Not saying that the reason for the car is I would like to start as a sales rep. I need to have a job as a sales rep because my income will be better. Then you pray for a car instead of saying, God, whatever you have, increase my salary. I even if I don't need the car, just increase my salary. So I'm making an example myself. I was a merchandiser and the only way I could get to get to be paid more or to be paid double than what I got paid at that time was to actually get my license. And my license was the one that stopped me from getting a sales reposition. I couldn't, I wasn't, it wasn't necessary to buy a car. It was just to get a driver's license and I got the job. So your prayer should be, or your things that you ask, take the root to God, not the symptom. Then principle number five, take the first real action before you really, feel ready. This is for the person that think that you must have the degree to start applying for a management position, but the grace of God help you to even get that kind of jobs. So this is just to take the action. Then a principle number six is bless the little you have and start with it. Bless the little you have and start with it. It's just the basic of telling somebody, hey, Why do you always complain about not having a nice house? You're having mkuku while you should have blessed that small house because somebody sleeping on the street today doesn't even have a roof over their head. And that is the principle. Then principle number seven, step out and own the things you are hiding and you will stand. I think I'm taking too long with this. Let me just give you the brief step out and own the things you are hiding and you will stand. Principle number eight, pull away to the secret place and get refueled or refilled. Then principle number nine, press through and reach for him in the crowd. Press through and reach for him in the crowd. Some things that you need to do is just to press through and not wait. So that's the principle. And then principle number 10, turn the feelings into action, not just a post. Turn the feelings into an action, not just a post. So sometimes you feel things, but you don't act upon it. Don't let it just be staying with the feeling. And today's principle, which is principle 11, the biggest people are the ones who serve. And this is the message of today. So, when I look at this message, the first thing that came to me was to literally say, how are we going to get this message out for you? And I want to read. I want to read something quickly I can find it now Okay, let me leave that. Let us turn our Bibles. And I would like you to turn your Bible to John 13. John 1 3 John 13 Now if you read in John 13 and you read verse 4 and 5 He rised from supper and laid aside his garment and took a towel and girded himself after that he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with the towel where would he was girded. And then you go to same John 13 and go to 14 and 15. John 13, 14 and 15. John 13 says, if I then your Lord and master have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet for i have given you an example that you should do as i have done to you then we go to matthew 20 and i would like us to read matthew 20 verse 26 verse 26 to 28 now Matthew 20 verse 26 says but if shall not be so among you but whosoever will be great among you let him be your minister and whosoever will be chief among you let him be your servant even if the son of man who came not to be ministered unto but to minister and to give his life as a ransom for many. Bless the word of God. Now, when you read about this situation, you would understand that in those days there was higher ranking people that couldn do the feet washing For argument sake if a king walks into a room after some time now when you're looking at the area where they were, if you were wearing sandals and your feet start sweating with all the dust, your feet looks like toffee. do you know toffee you know like that black Wilson toffee is like dirty and for somebody to wash that person's feet the king cannot wash a servant's feet a servant must wash a king's feet so that was in those years how it was happening. Now we read this foot washing as a sweet and humble gesture of Jesus. A nice example of being kind. But you must understand what it was. Washing of feet was the lowest job in the house. Washing of feet was given to the lowest servant. This is who was getting something like that. And the king of all creations, who is Jesus himself, on his last night took the lowest servant job. Huh? Do you remember the disciples were asking who is, you can almost say, who is the greatest? They were asking that question and here Jesus came in and say, no, let me do the washing. The washing of the feet. Now for some, you might be thinking, Wow! Jesus, you are well. Well done. But this is not Jesus being nice. This is not Jesus being showing something that we must all roll up our sleeves and do the work This is Jesus destroying the whole idea of how to be great The whole idea of greatness. He has destroyed that idea so that the whole world who was sold that that is the idea of being greater than the others should be step aside. The real thing is for somebody to be lower. Now, I would like to bring this to your attention about the Greek or the Hebrew word for this, which is minister and servant. The Greek word is diakoneo. Or diakoneo, sorry, diakoneo. I think that's not I think, I know it's the root where deacon came from diakoneo that's where deacon came from and that is a plain word that means to serve it's also to wait on tables to do practical hands on work for someone else it is where we get the word deacon from. Oh yes, yes. That's, I actually put that in my notes. So it's not a glamorous word. Diakoneo. It's not a glamorous word. Minister. It's not a glamorous word. Servant. It's not a glamorous word. It is the word carrying somebody's plates. Serving somebody cleaning their house if I can make an example of that this is what this word is for now I would like you to go through this this is the actual the actual thing There was a story in April 1912. It was the biggest thing or the biggest moving thing human hands had ever built. That thing left Southampton in England. It was called the Titanic. The biggest thing, the Titanic. If you're looking at the Titanic, it's nearly three rugby fields long. The papers called that specific thing unsinkable. and the top of the world's leather was on board, and the head of the shipping line, the man who designed her and John Jacob Astor, the richest man on that ship, worth more than the ship itself. Right before the sailing, the company reshuffled the officers. one man got bumped off the crew at the last minute and this man's name was called David Blair the second officer they decided the great ship did not need him he packed his bag and went home and in his coat pocket nobody noticed went one small key, the key to the locker that held the binoculars for the crow's nest. Now understand who sits in the crow's nest? Not the captain. Not an officer. Not at all. The two lowest men of that watch is a mast in a freezing blanket paid a few pounds a month to be the eyes of the whole ship. Now one of them was Fred Fleet The lookouts that asked for binoculars they were told there were none Now, the locker was right there and nobody could open it. And nobody in charge of that stopped to chase a key for the small men up the mast. and when we're talking about this small man this one who gets paid the lease he was paid the lease and yet he couldn't even do a proper job because of not having the resources at the time which is binoculars binoculars is literally on the sea it's one of the most important things because you need to look up. So the Sunday night of the 14th April, 20 minutes before midnight, Fred Fleet with nothing but his bare eyes saw a black shape in the water. He rang the bell three times and found the bridge. Iceberg right ahead, too late. Before morning, the unsinkable ship was on the bottom of the Atlantic and more than 1,500 people were gone. The sea never asked of them for a title. Now my question to you is that if somebody was chased off the boat with a small insignificant key in his pocket because he gets seen insignificant can cause so much pain. For 1,500 people, and if you look at 1,500 people, if we would have split it, only 500 women for argument's sake, I'm just making an example. Only 500 women. how many people or how many great leaders could have been born from those women on that ship that died? Because if you looking at one woman giving birth to a greater it a gain And how much was lost because of that was happening I'm not saying it's the case. I'm just opening up your mind to see how something small insignificant, the greatest ship on earth was lost. because of one small key that couldn't open the place where the binoculars were. It was in a company, I mean in the pocket of a one man, the company decided they don't need him. It was in the pocket of one man that the company decided he is worthless. it's not necessary because nobody thought the men in that low place were worth stopping for nobody thought now if you look at this this is the whole thing that you should understand whenever somebody comes to to your house it's worth thinking the person is worth more than what you ever know every human being on earth is more than what you ever would know I make an example a CEO cannot be a CEO if there is no PA that handle his delegation or you can almost say his work for him. Go through his emails. Because if a CEO is a CEO and they run everything themselves, that is just a CEO who took up another job and just will have to do everything themselves. And that's how important a PA is for them. Now I would like you to look at this situation Jesus went and kneeled down A king kneeling down in front of a servant. Picture that. a king kneeling down in front of a servant. If I take it at today's life, it's a president that literally went and go to the lowest in the village and wash their feet. My question to you is, who do you think is the greatest among y'all, all of you? Because if you think that you are the greatest, you're actually fooling yourself. because Jesus had all the authority. John says he knew the father and had given all things unto his hands. And that is exactly when he picked up the towel. That is exactly when he picked up the towel. The real authority is not scared of the lower place. The bigger you actually are in God, the lower you can comfortably go. Let's take Philippians 2. If you take your Bible to Philippians 2. Open your Bible to Philippians 2 verse 5. Philippians 2 verse 5 says the following, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who begin in the form of God. Taught it not robbery to be equal with God, but made himself a of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and he was made in the likeness of man. If I make an example, one of the things that I always felt like, ever, like all the time, even up till today, I don't feel like you need to prove that you are greater than others if you know you don't have to prove it nobody has to tell a king you must not bow down in front of a servant because it's within the king to know not to do and it's also within the king to know that if you do it, you bring yourself down to a servant. You can almost say a servant level. But we were made in his likeness who is Christ-like. We were made in Christ-likeness and therefore we need to prove that we are servants before we become greater. And the worst part of it is that one of the things that you should know you should always be doing something for somebody who you know that you will not get anything back from. Because Jesus proved it. if you if you remember he was washing Judah's feet now picture this washing somebody's feet that he knows is about to betray him he knows that he is about to betray him he served the ones who would deny him Do you know the guy that they say do you know this one He said no I don Before the crow cries three times over what does the crow do Whatever Three times He denied him. The one that even doubted him, who is Thomas? You know he will come back and doubt him. He washed his feet. no one of them could actually pay him back for that but yet he did it the truest service is the things that you do knowing you're not going to get anything back from serving God's people is literally knowing you're not going to get paid for it. That's when you serve God's people. If you go to Luke 14, let's read Luke 14, 13 and 14. Luke 14, verse 13 and 14. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the lame, the blind and thou shalt be blessed for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. That is Luke 14 verse 13 and 14. Now, if you go to Galatians 5 verse 13, the King James Version also, for brethren ye have been called into liberty only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh but by love serve one another that Galatians 5 verse 13 Now for some weird reason it's like about a week or two back, we, myself and my wife, were talking about somebody asking money from us. it's best that we just give them the money write it off and afterwards don't tell the person we have wrote it off because if you borrow money to somebody knowing that they won't give it back to you you are blessing that person it's not you borrowing it to them it's not you lending it to them I don't know which one of those two words comes in there because the borrow and the lending is not English in me. I don't know which one is it. But that English that we are using there, either borrow or lend to them. If you're looking at this whole situation, you can only borrow money to somebody that you know that you can write it off. Otherwise, you should be giving it to them. Because the moment you give somebody a 300 rent and you know you don't want it back, then you know you are sharp. Now, to be great is to go lower on purpose. That is what makes you greater. Because the lower you go, the higher you become. Because Jesus, he did not fall into the low places by accident. No, he didn't. He rose from supper and chose it. It was deliberately lowering himself to be lifted. Because few days after that he was lifted By lowering himself he was also lifted You do not become great by being served You become great by serving. God said it plainly. In fact, if you read Matthew 23, Matthew 23 verse 11 and 12. Matthew 23 verse 11 and 12 reads as follow but he that is greatest among you shall be your servant and whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased and he that shall be humble himself shall be exalted now you will always hear me one of the things that you should understand when it comes to me reading the Bible, I always try and read out of King James Version, because the King James Version is the only version that is not copyrighted. The reason I read the King James Version, if I don't say New International Version, I might be in trouble, because the other versions have ways that you must keep on telling, this is the version and I keep on forgetting so I somebody once told me hey do you know that you are doing something wrong there so forgive me if I always read out of King James because King James is just a version that is not copyrighted yeah that's the word copyrighted so you have been trying to climb your way to to feel important and you kept on feeling but it doesn't fill you the way it should be. It's not because of you, you did things wrongly. It's because you chase the wrong side of how to be greater. Because choosing to be greater is a different way. To climb higher is to go lower. Let's talk about the skyscraper. Do you know what a skyscraper is? is a building that is very high. It's like if you go to Dubai, you will see there's high buildings. If you go to America or wherever, USA, wherever, a skyscraper is something that is very high. But for a skyscraper to stand strong, it is never the building growing higher but the building first going deeper before it can get higher so for a higher building you have to almost go the same depth deeper than the height that it will go higher so it's like if you take a For argument's sake, if you take this thing and you put it like this, can you see? It falls easily. That how it is when it on top of the ground It falls any wind of change what makes it to fall But the moment it goes inside it cannot tilt And the higher it is, the deeper it should get in. It can't go in like this, because if it goes in like this, any wind can let it fall. but the higher it goes it needs to go deeper to hold it and that's the whole concept of you being the greater you also need to go lower to go higher humble yourself by the side of the lord and he will lift you up at the right time that's literally the whole message brought to you into one sentence. And I need you to understand, some people feel lower because they do the lowest of jobs. But by being the lowest, it's serving a purpose. So the greatest person who ever lived spent his last night on the floor with a towel, washing feet that would run from him that same very night That people that he was washing their feet run away Greatness is not who serve you. It is who are willing to serve. So please do pick up a towel this week. And get low. not just low for the sake of low but go low for the sake of purpose for the sake of purpose now next week there is something in your life you have been putting off and for far too long you've been putting it off so you keep tolerating it working around it pretend it is fine and it's quietly costing you everything. I'm going to show you the day the gentle Jesus walked into the temple and start flipping tables over. There are some things you do not pray about. You flip them over. Come and find out which one that would be the message for next week Heavenly Father I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior And I want to take this moment and ask you, Lord Jesus, that for far too long we taught we want to be great and never taught to be servants. forgive us for that Father God so that we can going forward look at only being servants and not being great by trying to be greater than others let us lower ourselves amongst ourselves so that we can be greater at the end in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen and amen. Let us all share the grace. Now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide with us all until Jesus comes. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. In Jesus' mighty name, amen and amen. Thank you.
