When Everything Falls Apart at Once: How to Survive Your Darkest Days

to start with something else. I normally start with something. Oh, okay. That's right. That's no way I never see any. So now, when you're looking at a day like this, the significance of this day has a pre-time, the time that has passed. Now, I want you to think of it this way. We each and every one of us have a moment in our life where we've been in a grave. you might say no you are now you're talking nonsense but each and every one of us had our grave moment one or the another day let me explain my grave moment to you maybe you would understand what i mean i had the the two most cheerful boys that i had before like they were so full of life And me having these guys making me to laugh for just nonsense. And I'm actually glad you are here, Lashanti, because you can be, you can attest to that. They were making a mock of her. Everyone didn't get it like the way she did. You know, the way they make so much fun with her for the last few weeks that we had with her. I think it was the most significant week that we had with them or weeks that we had with them. Why I'm saying this is my graveyard moment is because when I heard the news that they no longer, I felt like in a dark moment of my life. What is your dark moment that you had before? Was it the day when they were asking you, the rent is due today. And it was so dark that you couldn't explain where is the rent going to come from. That graveyard moment is like, they say they're going to repossess my house. What am I going to do? Getting in so much stress that you get heart palpitations like the heart is knocking. Graveyard moments. Your graveyard moment might be the day when you taught the kid that will bring you joy. When that kid comes into your life you suddenly hear but this kid have water on the lungs and jaundice And yet you think you going to lose the kid I lost my two boys Now this boy I about to lose again because of he can bleed There too many water or frug water The water that is in the womb, like womb water, let's call it that. Womb water on his lungs. A graveyard moment that made me to tort. I thought at that time I'm going to lose this boy as well. That's my graveyard moment. Some of you have it differently. The day when you thought that that boyfriend or girlfriend was the last that you ever had, you felt like, oh, he was my everything. And suddenly he leave you. Or maybe he did not leave you. But maybe your mother and father said to you, never to touch that person again. Never to be in the same room with that person again. And you felt like it's your graveyard moment. Maybe your graveyard moment might have been, wow, they said to me they will retrench me this month. And you felt like this is the last of the last because how am I going to get food for my kids? Graveyard moment. Maybe your graveyard moment might have not been that hard. I'll keep my eye on this one. So when it comes to these things, you thinking to yourself that there's a problem. Now, I want to go through a few things with you that I said to you that everyone have their graveyard moment. And today your graveyard moment is about to be finished. It's the final day of your graveyard moment. I want to explain to you a few things now. If you go to the weight of the grave, because this is how the grave is now. Anybody that is sitting here does not know when is their graveyard moment. The unfortunate part is when the grave comes, it comes suddenly. It doesn't come with a warning. I remember when my mother-in-law passed on. We really thought that we are just taking her to hospital. We really thought. I'm telling you, inside my heart of hearts, to me, it was I'm just taking her. But then suddenly it happened that she didn't come back. That moment happened so quickly. It like it literally I mean if you looking at John 11 John 11 verse 35 John 11 verse 35 Look at this now It's told the shortest scripture. You can almost say a life. Not the scriptures that died. You know the scriptures. There's some of the scriptures that died. The book of Enoch. Bishop, do you know this book of Enoch? Yeah. I hear of it. They died. But this one is the shortest verse. he says Jesus wept that's all doesn't give anything so it's the shortest verse in the Bible God does not observe grief from a distance he entered into it so was in the grief he entered also into the grave so he knows your graveyard moment it's not to say that he doesn't know your graveyard moment it's Psalm 22 verse 1 he says my God my God why have you forsaken me? A graveyard moment. Because when graveyard happens, it happens so quickly that you did not prepare for it. That is why we as South Africans, I don't know the other places, but we as South Africans, we like to have funeral policies. Because we never know when it might happen. So your graveyard moment is always a sudden moment. It doesn't announce itself. If it does announce itself, I can tell you now, you will yet not be prepared because we always expected our hope is all will become better. But let me let me tell you, I actually had a conversation with somebody and let me explain to you. I will not mention the name, but I would mention what has happened. I had a conversation with a sister and as I had a conversation with her sister so prophetically that 12 years ago something happened in her life and it made her to almost stop living. That moment started showing the blackness of grief. I mean the next moment you're going to your room trying to sleep. The moment you woke up you are in a pool of blood. If it wasn't for the dark you would have been gone maybe. because how long you've been laying there with the butt of your head no house. So when when when this kind of things happen in your life do you know what is the problem is that you are in a grave you are in your graveyard moment and when somebody is in their graveyard moment so many things happen is that one of the things like when when things happen too much in your life it's like one thing next thing one thing next thing by the time you realize it becomes so dark mind can't see outside of your situation. The mind won't see outside of your situation. I mean, if you can think of Jesus being three days in the womb, I mean, in the tomb. No light, total blackness. And your eyes never adjusted to. You know how we can get into a dark room and your eyes start adjusting and you can see figures. You can see, oh, this, this. He didn't adjust. No light. No, not even a sound. Listen to that quietness. Not even a sound. Except for storms and silence. And the worst part of it is, in those days, they used to track what is the time by the sun and the moon. There's no sun. There's no moon. There's no track of time. How long have I been here? Picture this. when you are in your graveyard moment you have like a a a a this time you have like a a a a projectory of your life huh it's like just leave it just leave it fine i'm afraid that it's going to do my throat so you have a projectory of your life let me check if this thing is still going all So we're still going now. You have a trajectory of your life. Like all the failures in your mind. Anything that you had planned for. It's like as if you are saying to happen anymore. You're gone. It's like you're telling yourself so many things over and over again. Picture as a child. The moment they switch off the light. How scared. You were so scared. And when you were scared. Yet, if you be, you must have been. Picture how scared Jesus would have been. Because Jesus didn't just lie there and could turn around or could move. He was broken down in his body. How do you move with so much pain in you? The pain that. You go through in your grave and you think it's pain. It's not even half of what Jesus went through. It's not half. If you think that, oh, I can't afford this at this moment. It's not even half of what he went through. It's like, you know, when it comes to the second day, he knew nobody is going to come again. He accepted nobody is going to come again. Then you start pondering in your mind, you were foolish to believe that does exist. That's graveyard moments. So something is happening in the grave. All the things that could go wrong is about to go wrong. Your graveyard moment. All the things that could go wrong goes wrong at one time. But the problem is that one thing you must know about your graveyard situation is that you cannot see the whole thing from inside the grave. It's only darkness that you can see. So I know personally, because of my experience with my two boys, when they pass on, my mama and my stepdad, I know it. I know there's certain times I can tell you now. When, when, when, when, um, what is the plaque? When FNB called me to say, if you don't make payments this house we are coming for it see a way out it was too dark around me bishop months without electricity telling the kids how are we going to make fire and make food the kids know there's no electricity how come my next door neighbor have electricity and we don't graveyard moment not one month not two months months we have thought ah life is going to be finishing it as graveyard moment. But remember, the problem is that you can't write the end in a grave because all you can see is darkness. The woman I'm talking about now or that I was talking about, when I tried to give her some ways of looking at things, she couldn't see it because she's still in her graveyard. You might be sitting in the same thinking that this is the last of the last We are in our year of action Don go sit down in a grave Wait wait let me not let me not go there Let me let me explain to you this way A grave is not a good narrator of how it going to end I remember there was a guy that was in Postmasburg. No. Bishop. This guy went twice to the morgue. He was dead. He was dead. What's he mention in English? Dead like whatever, whatever, what, what. This guy, he died, Bishop. Medical doctors proclaimed him dead. And you know us, you're in the morgue, you think he has spoken. You think, ah, what is spoken? Why is the Englishman also? Ghost. What's the ghost about? And the guy woke up. When he woke up, he imagined naked coming out. People are saying to him, do you know how long you've been in this cult? John Papp woke up. It's not rhyming. John Papp woke up. Bishop, a grave is not a reliable storyteller. A grave can never be a reliable storyteller. And the worst part of it is that, and the worst part of it is, is that where Jesus was, Romans were talking about this burial. It was like it's a functional seal. And this stone in front weighed more than a ton. They say it's about one to two ton of stone in front. Now picture yourself trying to get yourself out while bruised. Picture yourself trying to get yourself out while the creditors are calling you. Picture yourself getting yourself out. It is a situation where they mock you. They're bullying you at school. How will you get yourself out of that situation? You can't get out of a situation where there's no inside strength. The only strength that is left is the outside strength. Get out of yourself and give over to God. Because the moment you get out of yourself and leave it to God to run or move the stone, That's where things, imagine Jesus broken, like stone broken. Imagine Jesus being in the stone broken Then what happened is that whilst he broken I wish I know Is there anybody who broke a bone or arm or something before We are lucky. None of us had a bone broken. But let me explain to you. I was bumped by a car. Let's make that example. When I can't even remember how I get to into the ambulance. Yet, I'm ashamed. Jesus was broken into pieces. So the first few hours or three might have been, I don't know, because he might have been unconscious. But picture somebody woken up at that time when he woke up, broken every bone. This is not a story about somebody I can tell you that it makes sense. Because if you can't picture yourself being broken down that way, you have not seen it as yet. You're not yet halfway through. You're not halfway through. This bit smaller so I'll be able to see both screens. Okay, doesn't matter. But remember, through all this, picture first day. Yo, my God, why has thou forsaken me? It's dark in here. second day my god why but comes the third day but here comes the third day but on the third day whether it is a or not and as you was and that is why we kept on losing yeah it's fine now i wonder mustn't i ask you to put it in your hand there can i or or just drop it just drop it like this you will be able to see can you Okay, that's it. Every time, whenever it's... You just press something so that it doesn't sleep. Because I don't know why it keeps on sleeping. Now, on the third day, that is when things start moving. This is now when I can tell you now. I was at the stage where I thought I could not lose anymore. I lost my mom, my dad, my two kids. Suddenly after that, my dad stayed with us. for life. He's been there for a long time. He passed on. After that, my mom's other brother also passed on Also how Suddenly after that Ronelle mother I mean father passed on How long can we take this They came where we could see light But I can tell you something there. One thing you must know about your, do we call it graveyard moment there. One thing you should know about your graveyard moment is that a graveyard moment, when the darkness of the grave is so, What it does is that I'm so used to not ask my family. And Marianne, any ochenten, I flew to my mom and I said, I'll answer. It's like the moment they switch on the light, they first start with me taking the blanket and they put the blanket on me so that they can. Maybe I should actually see if there's a way I can. It's there. it's just that it keeps on cutting there and then it cuts here and I have to but it doesn't matter or another way another way I can do let's put the two together put the two together so that if one fails the other one is still there but now it will look like I'm looking down no it doesn't look nice but it's fine let me know the message here I'm breaking the message here Remember, Jesus was in the situations that you were. So whatever graveyard moment you had, Jesus went through it as well. He actually went through more than what you went through. So that you can understand that he had it the same way you had it. When you were lost, he was even lost. Some of you think that Jesus was thou, thou, holier than whatever. He also went through. He also went through a wedding where there was no wine. You think it's only you that has, ah, the wine is finished now. How am I going to celebrate? He went there as well. He had the same situations that you had. He had the same situations where only one skafting was there to take care of 13 people in the house. He was there. And you think that he wasn't there. Jesus went through all this. But let me give you seven ways how graveyard moments. Let me give you seven and I'm not going to take long. I'm just going to try and please let me let me do this. Let me do this. I'll give you the seven ways. How am I going to do this? OK, but it doesn't matter. Yes, I'm giving. Try and write down the scriptures. I will not go through the scriptures that much. Don't think this is something that will make God to show up. Please, if you're seeing it that way, you are seeing it wrong. God has never left you, nor he has. The only problem is that your darkest moments make you to think and see that he's not there. So this is not what I'm saying to you. I'm saying to you, regardless of whatever the moment or the darkest hour is, God is still there. It's just that because we are human beings, we need to, number one, name the grave. We need to name the grave. If you're looking at Psalm 34 verse 18, the Lord is close to the broken heart and save those who are crushed in spirit. You have to be honest about being crushed. You have to be honest about being crushed. Before this verse applies to you, you have to be honest. I mean, if you name it, say it out loud and say it to God. Say it to yourself. Say it maybe to one trusted person. You know, there's some person that we sometimes do trust. I'm losing my house. I'm losing my house. Say it. So name your grave. Name your grave. can you be i'm about to lose my father tell it to the to somebody because one problem shared is already off from your shoulders because psychology tell us that the moment we can just talk about something it's already a relief name your grave stop calling it a season i understand it's a season. We do call it sometimes we say, it's just my season I'm going through. It's not a season because sometimes season that God is showing to you that it's about to be your winter season. But stop calling every winter season a season. It might be something that you need to go through. Jesus must go through Samaria. I'm just asking why would you lose your house and not tell somebody that might have had the money to help you. So name your grave. That's the number one thing And number two is stop measuring the darkness that you are in Stop measuring the darkness that you are in If you looking at 2 Corinthians 4 over 17 like I said 2 Corinthians 4 over 17, like I said, you can go and read it at home. Just write it down. But I just want to tell you, 2 Corinthians 4 over 17 says, our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an internal glory that far outweighs them all. The grave is not a final measure. The grave is not a final measure. The grave is not a right place to even calculate how long you've been in it. Because you won't be able to say the time from whatever time. You can count in seconds thinking that 60 seconds, but picture yourself counting for a whole three days constantly just to know what's the time. Your mind won't be anything else than thinking about time. So stop measuring that, whoo, it's going to be three days, Then suddenly they're going to come and fetch my house key because it's been repossessed. No, no. It's going to be three days. Then they will fire me. Stop measuring it. I can tell you now, when you grieve, most of the time your math is wrong. You can't calculate. I'm telling you now. Most of the time you can't calculate. Never use darkness as a ruler. If you use darkness as a ruler, your measurement is off, off, off. it's like there's the measure there's the measure which side you can almost call it you measure this from the west it's infinite now let me let me come to another one number three find not leave because if you in this situation we are in at this moment Jesus being in the grave do you think that God has left Jesus at the time when he was in the grave because God never left him. The one thing I can tell you, Elijah, as I'm saying to you at the home, just to get a background there, Elijah was in the wilderness. He was burned out. He was like, he was finished. He was done. But an angel touched. He gave up. Let me say it that way. He gave up. Bishop, it's a better way to say that. He gave up. Elijah gave up. Then when he was sitting there, the angel says, get up. The same guy that thought, ah, I'm going to be finished. Here you get food to last in for days again So when you when you when in a situation like that in every graveyard session there something that has stayed Even if it is the darkness something is what you, even if you think, seriously, let me explain my, my, my, my graveyard moment. When I lost my two kids, I had Lashante. Isn't that a nice exchange of two kids? Bishop, do you know Laven? She was Laven was also another one She was so quiet Sometimes you wonder Are you sharp? Find something that you can hold on to. If you can't hold on, take a rope and fasten yourself to it. If your hands get weak, use something else. Use a different strategy. Let me go to number four. The one thing that you must talk about when it comes to graveyard moments. Graveyard moments is like number four. It's like you must stop waiting to feel ready. You must stop to feel ready. You know why I'm saying it? the moment i'm telling you now the moment i wake up and the light to be should i should i And I will do this till I... I must tell you, don't think that you will ever be ready. The moment that stone is removed, you might not be ready. Migration is off already Now it comes in you feel like when they take this stone away oh I going to party Knowing that about the party The time when you're talking about the party, you remember, hey, but they were about to take my house. So where am I even going to get money if this stone gets rolled to party even? No, you're not going to be ready. Don't think through it. Because if you do that, you will feel disorientated like the light that is too much. Your next woman, like, go anyway. Go. Get out of there. How do you get out of there? Just get out of there. The pain might be too much because of the way you've been sitting. Maybe you've been sitting, you know, when we take long-distance taxis. Because bus is still, you can stretch your legs. But let's talk about that taxi sit. If your moment was sitting for nine hours street, they say, ah, here's the bus. Here is the next stop. Anybody going to toilet? You go because your legs feel stiff. You can't move. Now you're not yet ready to get out of the thing. And you already say, we are going again. So be like an ever ready battery. Be ready. Ever ready battery. Be ready. So stop waiting. Squinting. You know that squinting of the eyes. It's my English. Let me give you number five. Number five. Get somebody. sit in with you. John Urban joked to his three friends sat with him on the ground for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word. Sometimes presence is the entire, entire, entire ministry. It's like, don't say anything. Just sit. Don't explain anything. Just sit. Some of us can do it very well. Others like me that is too bubbly, trying to say something in a situation where it's not necessary to say anything will mess up the whole thing. Let somebody sit with you. You know, you know, a grave is not supposed to be a solo moment. It's not supposed to be a solo moment. It's not supposed to be a solo experience. In fact, you must share it with somebody. Let the person go through with you. That's why my wife is... still 15 years. My wife is still 15 years with me because my graveyard moments were more than hers can even become. She had to pamper me more than what she went through. Bishop, you think this man that stands here is strong? The woman behind him is the strongest because even though she goes through much more than what I'm going through, yet she stands stronger with me than what she Let somebody sit with you. Some people don't understand that. They think that, this Ricardo, when he loves family, he's like daughter of all daughters. This guy is a momo. He doesn't even know how to go through things. His wife sat with me that helped me. Sometimes the thing is that you want to have all the answers when people are in problems. You don't have to answer nothing. Even if you say anything, you just let them go. Please, understand one thing. In life, are they to be helping you? I always say this and I will say it again. I will say it again. Men's as men's, there are other men's. Even this one also. Oh, okay. In your graveyard moment. Number six. I should be finishing almost. I'm almost finished. Number six. Almost the last one. Number six is tell your story. It's like you foresee something. Tell your story forward. Because one of the things that you should know when you are in your diet, long before we died. I can almost say it that way. Because some of us give up. They say you've been, let us die, they don't fire you, man. What's that other one? When you're at work now, retrench, yes, yes. When they retrench you, the first thinking of how you're going to use your retrenchment, you think forward. Yes, I understand. But why not think, what if they can call me back after I've been retrenched? You think that they've retrenched you. They don't have work for you yet at this moment because the other people at this moment might have not been having any job. They have a worse off situation if they get retrenched last long God knows that they will kill themselves Yet they retrench you because they know the money you can take will then be able to start up a business for you, to start something. And then they call you back just as you are about to give up. Don't see yourself. Just, I'm going to be retrenched. What after that? Don't see yourself. They demoted me. They demoted you for a reason. The reason might have been that there's something bigger in store for you. Forward. Forward. I mean, if you go to Romans 4 verse 17. Romans 4 verse 17. God calls things that are not the world. So speak the ending before it arrives. Speak it. We are a chosen generation. Call for to show his excellence. All I require from that God has given me I know who I am Say to Satan who you are Speak it out It's not the end of the story You are in the middle of a sentence Amen You are in the middle of a Sentence is not yet finished even How about the story? And here you already write the story Let's put a full stop cooking I mean, when Lytton was born Hey Bishop, I thought Ah, I'm finished. That man, you can hear the breathing. It's hot. You are struggling to breathe. I must actually show you the photos, Bishop. It's like this guy having these things in front of him. Then feeding. But he was fed through his veins. Like to keep him alive, if I can call it that way. Don't say God, I was this way. If I might as well go. I might as well go. But yet, I did not. And you know one thing I hate God for. And my friend, I don't know if I can say it. I hate me hearing a prophetic seeing. And when he gave me that prophetic seeing, Bishop, I hated him for that. Because I could see things way before. I could even see things in depth. There was a time when I took some things from your phone. You remember? Do you think I went on your phone that I saw it on your phone? I did not see it in the phone. I saw it in the spirit. This is what would have happened. Let me be Bishop I did not tell her that If those things were leaked it would have cost you to kill yourself Because when somebody see that part of you and they show you and they tell you all around in the school do you think you would have been wanting to be in the street? You understand what I'm saying? It's not at that time. I didn't want to tell you why is the reason that I said, take it. Because it was not the right time to say to you because you were not matured enough to understand what I'm trying to say. You see, I was like, God, no, that's not true. I doubted my ability to see. Bishop, how can you see things that you know? It's not right. I know this one. She won't do these things. No, she does this. I said, bring your phone open. Look at this message here. It's not what I'm saying when I saw, what I said. I'm saying it to cover up what I was saying. You know what I'm trying to say. So what I did is when I opened the phone, I was disappointed in myself for... It's hard. It's hard to give it to somebody and still stand strong as a human being. The unfortunate part is that we do keep it in silent, thinking that prayer will resolve it sometimes. But sometimes God is showing it to you to go and tell. We don't tell everything. I love this church because we are prophetic, a whole prophetic church. Ish, I'm almost there. No, that one was the number six. Tell the story forward. Number seven. And this is the last one that I want to take two minutes or not too long. Stay until the third day. Stay until the third day. Because if you look at Hosea 6 verse 2. After two days he will revive us. Hosea verse 2. He will revive us. On the third day that we will be present. So the third day is a pattern in scripture, not a one-time event. It's a whole pattern that comes from Hosea. Isaiah even, you know, it's like every previous one was telling you about this trinity. Yet we have not known. The third day this is and I can tell you everything i said to you before one till six it still you can negotiate you can still negotiate but this one is a no this one you have to stay you gotta get out which means the grave does not get the final say where is your The grave does not have the final say. Remember, when you're in your grave, you don't have to be strong. When you're in your grave, you don't even have to understand what's happening. When you're in your graveyard moment, you don't even have to, God, I feel I'm revived. No, feel sad, feel angry at God. But the one thing you must know is you have to stay until the last day, which is the third day, because your third day is about to arrive. The light is already there. Just look at the brim of a moment. There's some sort of light that's showing you my third day is about to arrive. My third day is here. My third day is, although because of I couldn't open up my eyes to see the light, I thought it was still dark. Your third day is here. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives still in you. Romans 8 verse 11. Romans 8 verse 11. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead still lives in you. The stone wasn't moved by God. The stone will not be moved by you. Jesus has been there. Therefore, you will be there. But yet, God has that stone for you. Don't go and try and remove a two-ton stone. Don't remove a two-ton stone. We talk about the darkness. We talk about your three days in this sealed grave. And we talk about what it does to you, about the weight, how this is about to go down. But for this is this, as we're speaking, this is the Sunday. We are standing at the moment after. This is the resurrection time. This is to make you to go arise and shine. Your moment is here. The moment the stone will be moved, the moment you have to understand staying in the grave is not. Option. You gotta get out. Some of us has been in situations. That we put ourselves in. You gotta get out. The grave has. The stone has been removed. The light is there. Arise and shine. But yet. Your light is dumb. Because of your graveyard moment. Or has been too long. You were never supposed to move that stone. You were never supposed to move that stone. Give it to God. All you have to do. Is still breathing. Until the end. heavenly father this moment as we have come together i pray in the mighty name of jesus christ our lord and savior that every stone that is life father god i pray now let that stone be removed because of that stone father god even if it should be it still be there father god just show them a tiny bit of light so that they can see there's hope still for who started not trusting you in their grave moment who said god is nowhere to be found in their grave moment i pray this moment, Father God, because the moment they take away the source of life, they can't be coming out of the grave because you are the source of life And because they rejected you they can come out of their graveyard situation I pray now for that faith in you Let them have faith in you In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray Amen and amen. Amen. You know, I have not given you the message title. This message is entitled, Rock Bottom Has a Stone Seed. Amen. Rock bottom. When you're on your rock bottom, rock bottom has a stone seal. And someone moved it. And someone moved it. Hallelujah. Now, we have come to. I don't want us to leave this moment. But I want to ask anybody that has not taken up the Lord as their Savior. But remember, when you give an offering to God, you don't give an offering to a man of God. So for those who have their tithes and offerings, you can give them now. In fact, Ma, I saw your tithe. Just so that you can understand offering is not something that must be for the pastor to go and buy a new car No no no It not for that one It is for that we will give to the widow We will give to the homeless So all this money going directly to feed somebody This goes directly to train somebody to be able to be a disciple of Christ. This goes through to those material that we use to train. You understand why I'm saying? And most of all is literally to build the church. Can I call it that? It's not to build stone by stone, brick by brick. But I'm saying as a church, it builds somebody because what we give to others, it's a seed sown into somebody's life that will be coming back and sow it back again. So that one day when somebody stands in front and say, I would like to become an engineer, they can be able to train that person and we can be able to give the money. You understand what I'm trying to say? So it's never about buying school shoes for my kids. No, it doesn't. Church money is different. So that is what your offering is for and your tithes is for. Bring it to my storehouse so that there can be food. That's what the Bible says. But food is not always physical bread and butter. Sometimes it's a mental food by the training that we gave.
