Is God actually doing something with my life right now?

Some mornings you look at your life and all you see is the gap. The gap between who you are and who you thought you would be by now. You compare, you calculate, and the numbers feel wrong. But here is what Paul wrote from a prison cell in Rome, to ordinary people who also wondered if anything was happening:

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Write one sentence today. Finish this: 'God started something in me when...' Think of one moment, one change, one thing you no longer are. Read it back slowly. That is not nothing. That is a work in progress.

Father, I cannot always see what You are doing in me. Help me trust that You have not abandoned the work You started. Keep building, even on the days I feel unfinished. Amen.
