Why do I feel guilty when I rest?

Maybe you sat down last night and felt guilty about it. The dishes, the kids, the deadlines, the people who need you. Rest starts to feel like something you have to earn, and you never quite earn it. But here is what God says into that exact place:

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

- Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

Tonight, before you sleep, sit quietly for two minutes. No performance, no long prayer. Just tell God one thing you are carrying at home. Hand it to him by name. Then notice tomorrow morning whether you wake up carrying it alone.

What would it look like to let God carry some of this with you today?

Lord, I do not have enough left on my own. Renew what I cannot renew myself, so the people I love at home get something real from me today. I trust you with this. Amen.
