Is it too late to make up for missing time with my child? - Fountain of Grace International

"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

- Matthew 19:14 (KJV)
You said five minutes and meant it. You were going to play. But the phone rang, or the email was urgent, or something else demanded the space where your child was standing. Now they are asleep and you are awake with that particular weight in your chest. You know what you did. The hard truth is this: you were not actually too busy. You were protecting something. Maybe it was control, or the feeling of being needed in a bigger way, or the exhaustion that comes from never stopping. Busyness can feel safer than the vulnerability of sitting on the floor and being fully present to one small person who loves you without condition. But listen to what God says about this: "Jesus said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." He sees your child. He sees you too. And He is not measuring your love by the hours you have not yet given. He is measuring your heart by what you do next. Tomorrow is not too late. Five minutes on the floor with full attention is not a small thing. It is the kingdom of heaven breaking through. You have not lost this. You are still the parent your child needs, and God has given you another day to show up. Blessings - Fountain of Grace International
