Why am I still exhausted after 8 hours of sleep?
By Ricardo Zaal, Founder and Lead Pastor ·

You hit snooze, got your eight hours, woke up anyway feeling like you'd run a marathon in your sleep. The tiredness that doesn't lift after a full night - that one is different. It lives behind your eyes, not in your muscles. Sleep can't reach it because it didn't start in your body. It started in the constant noise your mind runs on: the scrolling, the comparing, the replaying of conversations, the low hum of pressure you never signed up for but somehow agreed to carry. God sees exactly where you are in that. And He points straight at the source.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
- Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Before you open one app this morning, sit still for five minutes. No phone, no news, no list. Just breathe and say out loud: I am allowed to think differently about today. That's the renewing starting. Five minutes is enough to begin.
What is one voice you've been listening to every day that leaves you more drained, not more rested?
God, my mind is tired in a way sleep cannot fix. Renew how I think today. Show me what I'm carrying that you never asked me to pick up. Amen.
