Why can't I let it go?

You woke up this morning and it was already there. That thing. The memory, the name, the moment you keep replaying. You have tried to leave it behind, tried to talk yourself out of it, and still it sits right in the middle of your chest like something with weight. That is not weakness. Some wounds go deep, and deep things take time. But you do not have to carry this alone, because God says something very specific into exactly this:

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."

- Psalm 147:3 (KJV)

At some point today, before you get home, find two quiet minutes. Your car works, or a bathroom, or a bench outside. Say the name of the thing out loud, just to yourself, and then say: 'I cannot fix this. I am handing it over.' You do not have to feel better immediately. Just set it down for today.

What would today look like if you allowed yourself to stop being the one who has to fix this?

God, this hurt is still real and I am tired. I believe you see exactly where the wound is. Heal what I cannot heal in myself, and hold what I cannot hold alone. Amen.
