Is it okay to cry and grieve when you are a Christian? - Fountain of Grace International

"Jesus wept."

- John 11:35 (KJV)
You know the weight you are carrying. That thing you do not speak about, do not name, do not let yourself fully feel. You have gotten quite good at this. The silence feels safer than the truth. And I see you. I see the careful way you move around it, the small deflections, the way your eyes change when someone gets close to the thing. But silence is not protection. It is a room you have locked yourself inside, and the thing you are afraid will destroy you if it becomes real is already destroying you in the dark. You know this. That is why you are tired. Grief that will not be grieved becomes a weight that settles into your bones and pretends to be normal. God does not ask you to stay in that room. He asks you to bring the broken thing to Him, exactly as it is. "Jesus wept." Two words. The Son of God, standing at a grave, letting His heart break open in front of everyone. Not because weakness was holy, but because feeling the real loss was the only way to move through it toward resurrection. Your grief is not weakness. It is the proof that something mattered. You do not have to be ready to grieve it perfectly. You only have to be willing to let it be real. And when you do, you will find that God meets you not with judgment, but with the deepest compassion. The silence can end today. Blessings - Fountain of Grace International
