This message is for you if:

  • You feel trapped by money stress or failed relationships
  • You keep thinking your best days are already behind you
  • You're struggling but doubt anything will actually change
  • You need proof that pain serves a real purpose

Why You're Stuck in Your Past

Right now, your thoughts about tomorrow are shaped by yesterday. You think, 'I failed at relationships before, so I'll fail again.' You think, 'Money never stayed with me, so why try.' You think, 'I'm not smart enough, not strong enough, not disciplined enough.' These aren't facts-they're chains forged from past pain.

Here's the problem: your thoughts keep you small. The Bible calls this living from fear, not faith. Jeremiah 29:11 shows God speaking to a nation in captivity-people who had lost everything and had every reason to give up. But God didn't say, 'I know how bad you feel.' He said, 'I know the thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' God's thoughts are better than your discouraging thoughts about yourself.

The hardest part? You don't believe it yet. You're looking at your empty bank account, your broken marriage, your stalled career, and you're thinking, 'How could anything good come from this?' But that question itself proves you're thinking from your past, not from God's plan.

Hardship Builds You for What's Coming

To understand why your struggles matter, imagine trying to lift 120 kilos on day one. Your arms can't do it. So you start with five kilos, then ten, then twenty. You build constantly. Each lift makes you stronger. By the time 120 comes, you're ready. Without those earlier lifts, you'd be broken.

Your financial stress, your failed relationship, your setbacks at school or work-these are the smaller weights. They're making you stronger for what comes next. This is what Proverbs 10:24 means: 'The desire of the righteous shall be granted.' And Job 8:7 spells it out: 'Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter shall be greatly increased.' God isn't punishing you with hardship. He's training you with it.

The word for 'expected end' in Hebrew is 'tiqvah'-it means a cord, hope, something you long for. God isn't guessing about your future. He expects something specific for you. And that expectation is good. But you can't receive it while you're still believing the lie that your past defines your ceiling.

Your Latter Will Be Greater Than Your Former

Here's what most people miss: you haven't seen your best days yet. Not even close. Psalm 37:37 says, 'Mark the perfect man and behold the upright, for the end of that man is peace.' The word for peace here is 'Shalom'-not just absence of conflict, but completion, wholeness, prosperity, health, success all wrapped together. That's your ending. That's what God is building toward.

This doesn't mean your circumstances will change tomorrow. Jeremiah's nation spent 70 years in captivity. They didn't just accept defeat-they built houses, planted gardens, raised families, lived while waiting. God told them: 'Go on with your life. Go on and do things even though it's tough.' Your job isn't to wait for the pain to stop before you live. Your job is to stop letting your past pain convince you that better isn't coming.

Think back to a season when you were struggling. A time you thought you wouldn't make it. Now look at where you are. That struggle? It was building you for where you stand today. The same is true right now. What you're going through today is building you for a tomorrow you can't yet imagine.

How to Align Your Expectations With God's Plan

The battle is in your mind. Isaiah 55:8-9 cuts to the bone: 'My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.' Your thoughts come from fear. God's thoughts come from a plan you haven't seen yet.

When you're pregnant, you expect one thing: a child. When that child is born, your expectations might shift-maybe you wanted a boy, got a girl. But you don't stop expecting good. The same applies to God's expectations for you. He expects good. He's not hedging his bets. He's not worried about whether you'll make it. His expectation is certain. Proverbs 23:18 promises: 'For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.' Your expectation will not be cut off.

Stop letting your past write your future script. Tell yourself: 'I'm going through this hardship, but it's not killing me-it's building me. The money stress is temporary. The loneliness won't last. The failure at school is a lesson, not a sentence. God has greater things in store for me, and I'm choosing to expect them.'

The Peace That Comes at the End

When Jesus taught His followers, He wasn't offering escape from difficulty. He was offering something better: peace in the middle of it. The kind of peace that doesn't depend on whether your bank account is full or your relationship is working. The kind of peace that says, 'I don't understand this yet, but I trust it's building me.'

This is the Shalom God promises. Not happiness based on circumstance. But completion, wholeness, the sense that your life is adding up to something. That's what your latter looks like. And it's not someday in heaven. It starts when you stop expecting the worst and start expecting what God actually plans.

Tonight, if you're in pain, if you're broke, if you're alone, if you're stuck-Jesus invites you to surrender the lie that you're finished. Pray this: 'Lord Jesus, I want to stop thinking like my past defines my future. I want to believe that my hardships are building me, not breaking me. Show me what You see in me. Give me the faith to expect the good You have in store. And help me to live well while I'm waiting for it.' Because your latter will be greater than your former. That's not hope. That's God's expectation for you.

"Stop letting your past convince you that better isn't coming-your struggles are building you for something greater."

Key Takeaways

  1. Your Thoughts Keep You Small; God's Thoughts Build You Up Every discouraging thought you have comes from past pain. You think you can't because you failed before. You think you won't because you didn't last time. But God's thoughts are higher than yours. Isaiah 55:8-9 promises this: His thoughts aren't trapped in your history. They're anchored in a plan you haven't seen yet. The moment you stop believing your own discouraging thoughts and start believing God's better thoughts about you, your life begins to shift. This isn't positive thinking. It's alignment with reality-God's reality, not your fear's reality.
  2. Hardship Is a Tool, Not a Punishment Every difficulty you face is a weight in your hands-it's making you stronger for what's coming. Job 8:7 says it plainly: 'Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter shall be greatly increased.' You don't build muscle without resistance. You don't build faith without trial. You don't build character without struggle. God isn't cruel. He's crafting you. When you stop seeing your hardship as meaningless suffering and start seeing it as training, you stop merely surviving and start actually living. The struggles building you today are preparing you for the role God has in mind.
  3. Your Expectation Creates Your Future Proverbs 23:18 promises, 'For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.' What you expect of yourself, you move toward. What you expect from God, you receive. Right now, many people expect the worst-another failure, more loneliness, deeper poverty. But Proverbs 10:24 flips the script: 'The desire of the righteous shall be granted.' If you can align your expectation with God's expectation for you-not perfection, but completion, not ease, but peace-then your life will move in that direction. Your expectation won't be cut off. God guarantees it. The question is: are you willing to expect good?

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to wait before things get better?

God doesn't promise speed. He promises purpose. Jeremiah's captive nation waited 70 years, but God told them to build houses and live fully while waiting. Your job isn't to count days until relief arrives. It's to stop living small while you wait. The Bible promises 'your latter shall be greater than your former,' but it doesn't say when. What it does say is that every hardship you face right now is building you. Start living now-not someday, but today-as if the better future you're called to matters. Because it does.

What if I've already messed up too much? Is there really a plan for me?

Yes. Jeremiah 29:11 was spoken to an entire nation that had been conquered, enslaved, torn from their homes-completely broken. God's response wasn't condemnation. It was: 'I know the thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace and not of evil.' Your past mistakes don't erase God's plan. In fact, they're often the weight training ground that builds the strength you need for what comes next. The Bible is full of people who failed spectacularly-David, Peter, Paul-and God used them mightily because they stopped defining themselves by their failure and started believing His definition of their future.

How do I know what God expects of me?

God speaks through His Word (the Bible), through circumstances, through the nudge on your heart, through wise counsel, and sometimes through direct revelation. Start here: read Scripture, pray, listen. Tell God, 'I want to know what You expect of me.' Then trust that He will make it clear. Proverbs 10:24 says 'the desire of the righteous shall be granted.' If you're seeking alignment with God-not just what you want, but what He wants-He will show you. It may not be instant, but it will be certain.

I love you, I love you, I'm yours and you are mine. I love you, I love you, I love you, Jesus Christ. I love you, I love you, I'm going to send you on my, I love you, I love you, I love you, Jesus Christ. Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Who can honestly say that I love you Jesus Christ? Who can honestly sing a love song like this to Christ? Who can literally, literally sing a love song like this? Because the words of this song is so nicely. This is a song that just before my eldest son passed on, me and him were looking after a house. And I won't forget those times that we shared together. And that is why I can tell you today when I look back at it, it was one of his favorite songs as well. because I will tell you now what's her name. Just trying to remember the girl's name now. Greta. There we go, Greta. So this was in Riveli now. In Riveli, I was staying in Riveli. And then she asked us to look after the house. And then looking after the house, obviously, was actually why I was actually with my son in the house and we were listening to this CD. And listening to this CD was like, wow, I must tell you, it like literally a CD that made me to fall in love And falling in love with Jesus This was a song way before falling in love with Jesus But let me just give you the wording of this song. Because it says, closer than my thoughts, closer than a kiss. How can it be more intimate than this? So if you hear the song, closer than my thoughts, closer than a kiss. How can it be more intimate than this? So more honest words than this I'll never find. With all my heart, my strength, my soul, my mind. So these are words that literally meant a lot to me. And then because I realized my son is also so much in love with this song that I kept on playing the song continuously, continuously, until he said to me one day, why are you playing this song so over and over? And I like this song so much as well because I'm so much in love with Jesus as well. And that's why I like the words of the song. And he knew the words nicely. So, but once again, evening, greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. I have my son as well here tonight. He'll be helping us as well. So wherever it's necessary, wherever it's necessary, he will help me as well. Because I have some few scriptures that I also need to run through. But let me start off by saying to you, God has chosen this time for us to be together because if you are here, if I can say to you, if you are here tonight, you are literally having a blessed time because this is a time that God has set out for us. and then setting this out for us I believe that this will help us to grow to grow together Heavenly Father I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior I praise you, I worship you, I give you the praise the glory that you deserve you are God and there no one like you no one can even be compared to you my God so this evening I just want to thank you for the god for the the time set here for the god the time set to to to praise you the time set to take time in your presence for the god where i know in your presence there's liberty in your presence there's joy and i know for the god in your presence you have made this um a night to remember Father God. So this tonight, as I'm sitting here tonight, knowing Father God, that you have set this program out, Father God, a program to actually help us to grow in your dominion spirit and also in your presence, Father God, because you said that where two or three are gathered in your name, you'll be there. Although you already said it, that everywhere you go, everywhere we are, you are there because you are the one that actually have some time to be around us all the time. So thank you for that time, Father God. Thank you for being with us, Father God. Thank you for your spirit, your spirit that will help us tonight to go through this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and see you. and I thank you for revelation knowledge that revelation knowledge that brings inspiration and to also make illumination and then to bring transformation for the God that same revelation knowledge that brings inspiration for us to bring illumination upon our situations and bring a transformation for us a lot so therefore in the mighty name of jesus christ the lord and savior i pray now the thoughts of christ thoughts of christ according to jeremiah 29 verse 11 let me give you the scripture now um jeremiah 29 verse 11 reads as follow for i know the thoughts that i think towards you say the lord thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end so um this evening I want to take some time and just go back to where we were before so just giving you a brief on last week, last week we were working it out on according to the word the word is actually out, this Jeremiah 29 verse 11 wasn't out for a specific person it went out to a nation so if you can remember going out to a nation which was in captivity So this word went out to a nation and not just one person but the whole nation in Babylon where they were in captivity And remember that this is what God has said at that time. He gave them this to say, look, you'll be there for 70 years. So I want to also tell you that for some of us, If you get a word from God and you think this word will only come into place for 70 years because we do have a problem. We actually want gratification, a quick gratification or how do you call it? You want a instant coffee, instant juice, instant everything. You just want instant things. So therefore, this evening, if you're looking at it, when God gives you something for 70 years, just picture that. What will you do as a person? Will you be happy to say, OK, God, I'm going to like this. This is going to happen for after 70 years. So me, I'm now 50 years of age. so I don't even think I'll be able to make 70 unless I do turn 120 years but one of the things that that make this so nicely that this message went out that time for for for Israel's people and then it's more relevant today than what it was then because those times it was given when Nebuchadnezzar said, put them, take them in. So you will understand. So tonight, that was the word that went out. And then also, God is still saying to you, even though you are in captivity, this is just a recap of last week, even though you are in captivity, it doesn't mean that you should just stop there, knowing that you are in captivity. He still says to you, go on with your life, go on and do things even though it's tough, you're going to go through so much hard things still in life go and build those houses because according to Jeremiah 29 verse 11 I mean Jeremiah 29 verse 4. Thus said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon. Build your houses and dwell in them. So he said to us at that time, as the family at that time, so even though life is tough, even though things are going literally hectic for you, don't give up um let it don't give up because i know it's tough that's what god is actually saying to you look i understand it's tough i know um that this is something that is only going to be of relevance to you in the future um but why wait for for for it to happen because if you wait for it to happen um it will actually take some time to to to come to fruitation. And then that is why he then said, so build the houses, but not just build the houses, love in them. So imagine if somebody is saying, build a house and then you build the house, but you're not enjoying the house. So that is why God said to them, build the house and love in it. And then he said also at the same time, he said, plant the trees, plant the gardens, whatever. and then he said eat of those fruits that comes from the garden and then he also said take wife take husband and have children with them so that you may increase so these are the things that he said at that time and then he goes on and he said he said it so nicely also he said it further so I I think to what you said a lot, thoughts of peace. Now imagine if you're looking at the word peace. The word peace in its Greek word is shalom. Is it Greek or Hebrew? Is it Greek or Hebrew? I can't remember now. Okay, but it doesn't matter whichever. The original word meant shalom. And this is where now shalom comes from the word shalom comes from the word it like peace and to bring in sorry man I trying to look at the scripture, trying to get the scripture at the same time, talk. So let me just focus on getting the scripture first. Because if I get the scripture first, then I'll be able to speak to you. Yeah. So this word, Shalom, yes, there we go. So the word Shalom is a word that comes from being happy, being friendly, being wealthy, welfare, health, prosperity. So when this word came out, God actually said, have us keep this word for 236 times that this word came in the Bible. so picture for 236 times that this word came in in the Bible and then meaning peace which we say there's peace but it has more meaning than that like the word coming from the name Salomo comes from Shalom Shalom Shalom and that's where Shalom come from the king Salomon which meant it was meaning prosperity and peace so that is why this this this piece that we're talking about it brings you to a place of completion a place we go of completion meaning to say that you are happy you are successful you are blessed you are actually I healthy you are you are healthy like so everything that that that shalom brings is to bring to completion of uh to have a better life so these are the things that that was said um last last week so that was just a recap of it and then obviously uh where god went on to say look um i want to give you the thoughts that i think towards you and then he also said at the same time that so if i do give you the thoughts that i think towards you how am i going to to give it to you on what means or on what medium am I going to give it through to you so there was a God thoughts can be given through to you Through number one the word And then when it comes through the word, meaning to say anything that you read in the Bible, that is how God's thoughts comes through for you. Then you have another way of giving it through to you through dreams. So whenever you sleep at night or during the day, whenever you take a nap, he gives you dreams. So his thoughts will then be conveyed to you through dreams. Then he also have another way of laying your thoughts on your heart. Like somebody will tell you, look, God just laid this on my heart. And then somebody will give you what God has laid on their heart. So that is how he laid on your heart. Then there's an audible voice of God. Now the audible voice of God is when when Eli were in the temple. What was this boy again? I forget the boy's name. Samuel. Samuel. Yes. There we go. Now imagine my son like that this year with me tonight. Imagine he's God is speaking to him at nighttime. and he hear the audible voice of God. And any time whenever he hear the voice, then he ask me, okay, but how is God? Why are you calling me the whole time? And then whenever he comes to me and he said, but you called me. So the first time he said, Daddy, did you call me? And then I said, no, I didn't call you. The second time when he comes again and he said, Daddy, I'm sure you did call me, man. What's happening? Why did you call me? Answer me. But then the next thing that happened that I didn't realize, but okay, no, this is actually something else. And then what then happened is that the third time, I said to him, look, whenever something like this happened the third time, just say, God, speak to me. And then that is when God then starts speaking to him and tell him what is the situation. And imagine somebody gets this message and then he got told that you should get your house in order. Okay, let's not do this. And then okay now I gonna bring someone the spoon that I copied and burn from my neck thank you and then so then there another there another way as well which is a true prophetic utterance now now picture this let me let me explain to you this way sometimes sometimes you actually you actually get a word from God through the Bible. Now, if I can make an example for you, when you do get a word from God through the Bible, please just tell me when you are there. Just comment so that I can hear if there is a... I have only eyes on the screen. Let's just leave it there. But what I'm trying to say is sometimes you get a word, but then what happens is the Bible doesn't know or the Bible doesn't have, let's say it this way, the Bible doesn't say who is the person that you should get, there's no one's name, maybe there's no one's name, whatever name it is so what i'm trying to say is that so so it's what you are looking for because sometimes you have an answer um or you have a question and then um this this question um oh sorry sorry sorry uncle i didn't i didn't see that uh well we thank god i mean i mean thank you you'll be blessed my God to richly bless you as well and enlarge your territory thank you thank you man thank you my uncle there we go so so so God doesn't have a word specifically for for you in the Bible like if you read the Bible the Bible doesn't have certain names or it doesn't have a certain direction so say for argument say God is telling you look you should be getting married then In the Bible, it says that you'll be married, but the Bible doesn't tell you exactly who to get married to. So the thoughts of God is not open easily. It's not open. So it's not easily understandable to you. So, okay, God, let me get married. Then you say, okay, God, let me get married but then what happened is that you do have maybe two girlfriends and both of them are literally what you're looking in in in in a wife everything that you are looking for is in both of them now for some reason you can't make the decision as to which one to go for do I go for this one do I go for that one God has given you both and let let me make an example both of them are very humble both of them you have the same characteristics both both of them has the same characteristics both of them has the same way of respecting you both of them love God both of them you see and then it happens that for some reason you you as a person then doesn't have the, how do you say, you as a person doesn't have the answer to what's happening there. So now you then have to ask God, God, I know the thoughts that you think towards of me is the thoughts of getting married, the thoughts to be relevant in this time to get married. but now my problem is I'm having two people that I should make a choice so what am I going to do am I going to then say between these two people that I'm having am I then going to say let me then get married to both of them or should I then make a choice and that is when where the the drama word of God comes in the rhema word is through a prophetic utterance done through a prophet. Now these days, whenever you're looking at the prophet for argument's sake, sometimes the prophet have the answer for you but some of them have their own intentions of giving you answers They would then say look this is what God is saying God is saying to me that you must go for Ronel But then in his mind, he looked at it, but looks like Ronel is a better person than whoever. But then God is saying audibly to him, choose Ronel. You understand? And then he then said, Ronel, and that is a prophetic utterance that he is given through prayer when you ask the question. So this evening, this is the things that I want you to think of because a prophetic utterance help us to align our things to go forward. Because this is where you know the thoughts of God that he thinks towards you. Whether that thought is to say, look, even though you are in captivity, I still know what I have in store for you. Even though you are still going through the toughest of times. Life is hard. We all know life is hard. We as human beings, we all know that it's tough out there. so because it's tough out there it is it is a difficulty for you then to to to to understand the plan or the thought that god has towards you i i mean if you're looking at it now um somebody can say to you that you are going to uh be a professor in a certain um how do you call it um subject. That's the word I'm looking for. So you are going to be a professor in a certain subject. Now, in your mind, you can't see yourself being a professor in that subject. Although you know the subject, you know the subject is close to your heart, but your financial things that stands in front of those things that makes you then to think, but I'm not going to make it. I'm not going to be able to be a professor one day because monetary, I am not there. Disciplinary, I'm not there. But then God is telling you the thought I have towards you is for you to be a professor So regardless whether life is tough regardless whether you are sleeping on the street it still the thought of God towards you. So it's for you to be in a situation where you then say to yourself, although life is tough at the moment, although I'm in captivity, like the children was at that time, they were in captivity, although they were in captivity at that time, still God has had a word for them, and still God had a talk towards them, so these are the things that is happening, so now, I want to move forward with my message, and I want to take the time to go to the last part of it, which the last part is is where God says that thoughts where God says thoughts let me get the word in front so for I know the thoughts that I think to what you say the Lord thoughts of peace which have already given to you and not of evil so now when God is saying to you not of evil. What he mean by this is that he then say to you, look, thoughts that is not of evil is that even though you're going through a little hardship, but I still don't want to discourage you. I still don't want to give you false hope or I still don't want to frustrate you. So these are the evil things that is upon you. He still doesn't want to give you a financial burden. He still doesn't want to give you debts, if I can say it that way. So, this is the things that is evil. Because remember, the Bible says that do not owe anyone anything except love. So, if you owe somebody, then it goes as far as to say, the borrower is a slave to the lender. And so that is an evil thing. Because we want gratifications. And that is as Christians, then get ourselves into a way you have a financial difficulty, which then God is saying to us he doesn want us to have those things Because every thought that he had for us is not the thoughts that we have Because our thoughts is what happened to us in the past. You don't think for the future. You think, I've been in depression. I had some marriage. Those thoughts that you have, the moment you start thinking again, Now you're thinking, am I going to date this person? The last time I had a person, they gave me so much problems that you don't want to live past your past experiences. So your thoughts is due to, is being put up from your past experiences and therefore you can't go forward. But God has another thought for you, which this thought is better than your own thoughts. And that is why you then have to rather go towards God's thoughts, which I also said to you. God's thoughts are also in Isaiah 55, verse 8 and 9. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my thoughts. I mean, so are my ways, sorry. So are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. So imagine if God says to you as a person that my thoughts are not your thoughts. So we need to say your discouragement that you got through the thoughts that you were thinking of previously is not the same thoughts that he thinks towards you. So these are the things that makes the difference. And therefore, as we go on, we then say, which is the part that I also want to give you, this it says that God's thoughts are not of evil. And in this, what do you call it, in the scripture, the word there is rah. Now, rah is to be harmed or to be said or to have some adversities or afflictions or to be grievous or to hurt and maybe to be ill and those kind of things. So these are the words that when you're looking at the evil part Because the evil that God doesn't have for you is, I'm just going to the Hebrew word, that's the word, it comes out in Hebrew. So Hebrew is ra, which is a bad thing. And then it means that those are the thoughts that God says to you, thoughts that is not like that. but then he goes as further and this is where I I want to I want to go in tonight God's thought of you is to give you an expected end like like in this case and he says to give you an expected end now an expected end now expected is tigva now now tigva is is literally a chord as an expectation hope, things that you long for. Because remember, if I say to you now, I expect you to be a certain way, but you don't have the same expectation from yourself, it means that your expectations will clash. Make sense what I'm trying to say? So when your expectations clash with somebody else's expectation for you or as a person, then it makes things difficult. So now I also want to say to you, when you're looking at somebody who's pregnant, we also say she's expecting. Now that expectation is only one expectation. You only expect the child. You have no expectation for anything else except for a child and then when the child is born sometimes your expectations is like for argument say i wish it would have been a boy i wish it would have been a girl so you expect to have a boy or a girl whichever way you choose and then that expectation is what God is also saying to you because he expects you to have an... I mean, his expectation for you, sorry, is a good expectation It a good expectation Give me a second So this expectation for you is a good expectation. I'm just looking for the scripture quickly. I'll tell you now. Now, also, if you're looking at it now, there's another promise that God gave us as well. I just want to quickly go there. So when these expectations... Yeah, there we go. Now I got it. So Proverbs 10, verse 24 said, The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him, but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. Now that desire is where the other word for it is expectation. The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off. There's another version of Bible. I'm not so sure if... I don't have another version of Bible here. okay this is afrikaans but let me leave it but it says the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off that's another version um i think that that version is is it niv or okay but doesn't matter so now when when when you're looking at expectation now when god expected something from you. He will give it to you. He will give it to you. So a thing that I long for at the end, that is the latter things, like the latter, your latter shall be greater than your beginning, you see. So therefore, God is telling us to expect great things from him, because if you can if you can look at it as well though though the beginning was small yet the latter and shall greatly increase this is what Job is also said in Job 8 verse 7 Though thy beginning was small yet thy latter should greatly be increased That is what God is saying as well. So now tonight, as I'm also giving this to you, I would also... if you go to Psalm 37 verse 37 as well, Psalm 37 verse 37 says it so nicely as well. Let me, I would like to actually do this in Afrikaans for you because it sounds so nice, certain things just sounds nicer in Afrikaans, sorry for English people, maar kyk na hulle wat eerlik en oprecht is van die toekomst van soe mens is vol vrede. So what God says, make the perfect men and behold the upright for the end of that man. So what it beteken is, soe mens is a toekomst, want die toekomst van soe mens is vol vrede. So, maar kyk na hulle wat eerlijk en oprecht is van die toekomst van soe mens is vol vrede. So, make the perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace. I mean, if you're looking at it, let me just use this concordance Bible again, just to explain to you. The concordance. I go to that scripture, Psalm 37, verse 37. I just want to give you that section again, where it says peace, you see. So it's the same peace for the end of that man is peace, which is the same word shalom. Shalom. So it means the same. So imagine if your last part is that of completion. Imagine what kind of life you can live if you understand what God is in store for you, because sickness may come. I mean you can literally at nighttime, sorry, can cry, but joy will come in the morning That is scriptural So this is the reason why I saying to you if you looking at it God expected end for you is an end of what he wants and previously said something let me just wait wait wait wait wait Psalm 23 verse 18 if you hear Psalm 23 did I say Psalm sorry Proverbs Proverbs did I say Psalm Proverbs 23 this is what what Proverbs 23 say, this is what I said, for surely there's an end and an expectation shall not be cut off. This is actually the previous scripture that I said, because for some reason I got it mixed up. But for surely there's an end and an expectation shall not be cut off. So it's the same expectation that is set. It's the same expectation that is set in Jeremiah 29 verse 11, is the same Tikva, Tikva, a Hebrew word. So literally is the same, which is an expectation of hope. So for surely there's an end and an expectation shall not be cut off. So you will not be cut off in any way. That is God for you. So this evening, I want to ask you the question and I want to make sure that you do go with me as well. Would you rather have an expectation of things to go wrongly the whole time? Or would you expect things to go nicely? For me, I can tell you, I would rather say I want something to be better. I can tell you that now because if for some reason Job said it that if you accept the good from God why not accept the bad as well because if you're looking at it certain things has been done for you as a person to strengthen you. And that is why God is saying to you, even though there's tough things that comes your way, it makes you to be a tougher person because the end thereof will be better for you. Picture this. Imagine if you want to lift the weights of 120 kilos. To lift the weight of 120 kilograms will be an error for you if you do that first you first has to start off with a weight of five kilo going to 10 20 30 and you build it constantly up you understand because if you build it constantly up it will help you as a person so that when 120 comes you are strong enough to do that so therefore this evening, my message to you is that God has an expected end for you, even though the things that you are going through at this moment is tough for you. Yes, it is tough, but it is because it is actually trying to build you for what are to come for you, because the best things that is coming for you is yet to come. The best is yet to come for you. You have not seen better than what you are having at this moment. And if you see for it, I can guarantee you now, this evening, I want to tell you please take the time and think of your life as the times when you were actually struggling in a certain way The same struggle that you went through was actually helping you and building you for what you have today So if you want God to help you tonight, take the time and say, Lord Jesus, tonight I want to take the time and make sure that as I'm going through my hardships, let my hardships not be the things that will actually kill me, but rather build me for what you have in mind for me, for what you're taught is towards me, for those greater things that you have in store for me. And I will end my message tonight by saying to you, your latter will be greater than your former. It's an expected end for you. God is expecting expectations of you. It's a good expectation. And that great expectation that he has for you, if you cannot grasp it at this moment, in your bitterness, in your pain, in the things that you are going through, I understand the finances is not there. Maybe every time you get the money, it's like you have oil in your hands. The money slips. Every time you get a girlfriend, it's like they all just want somebody else, not you. Maybe these are the things that you are going through. Maybe at school, you're not doing great. And every time whenever you studying you not studying enough and things are not going well God has a greater expectation for you at the end And that expectation of which you have as well will also not be cut off Because if you expect to have the best and you tell yourself that I want the best that God is wanting for me, your expectation will not be cut off. if you are righteous man and you live according to god's will and you want those things to to happen like like the bible is said it so nicely um so those ones that that love a righteous life they actually they they the latter will be of peace so you as a person you will be having a piece let me let me read it some some 37 37 37 in the English version I want I want it I want end with this. I want to end with this. Psalm 37 verse 37 says, Mark the perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace. Mark the perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace. So the end of you is peace. Shalom. It's to have an expected end. And may God richly bless you tonight.
