My teenager won't talk to me anymore, what did I do wrong?

Supper is done. Your teenager gets up, walks to their room, closes the door. You are sitting there wondering when the last real conversation happened. Maybe you found yourself scrolling when they walked past. Perhaps the minutes slipped away before you could catch them. That quiet door hurts. But it does not mean you have lost them. It means today is still here, and God has always had a picture of family that looks less like a lesson and more like a walk:

"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

Tonight, before that door closes, try one low-pressure moment. Offer to drive somewhere, sit outside with them for ten minutes, or ask about one thing in their world, a show, a friend, a game. No agenda. Just your face turned toward them.
