Am I actually present at home, or just physically there?

You came home. You were there. But maybe your eyes were on a screen, your mind was still at work, your heart was somewhere else entirely. It happens to almost everyone, and it costs more than we realise. The people under your roof do not need a perfect version of you. They need the actual you, turned toward them. God always intended home to be a place of real presence, real conversation, real connection. He put it this way:

"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

Tonight, pick one person in your home and give them ten minutes with no phone, no distraction. Ask them one real question and actually listen to the answer. It does not have to be deep. It just has to be real.

Lord, forgive me for being present in body but absent in heart. Help me to turn toward the people You gave me, today, with real attention and real love. Amen.
