How do I tell someone I care about them without being scared? - Fountain of Grace International

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."

- Matthew 7:12 (KJV)
You know the feeling. You catch their eye across a room and think, they must know by now. They must feel it. So you stay quiet, protecting yourself from the awkwardness of saying it aloud. But silence, friend, is not protection. It is a cage you have built for both of you. What you are protecting yourself from is not their rejection. It is the vulnerability of mattering enough to speak. When you say the words, you become real to them. You become someone who cares enough to risk being wrong, being too much, being seen. That terrifies us. So we tell ourselves they already know, and we keep the distance safe. But God does not deal in assumed love. He speaks. He shows up. He says the thing. Listen to what He tells us: "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." He does not say assume they know. He says act. Speak. Show them. This is how love becomes real, not theoretical. Today you have a chance to step out of the cage. Say what needs saying. Your words, spoken with honesty and kindness, are a gift they cannot receive if you keep them locked away. This is the courage grace gives you. Blessings - Fountain of Grace International
