Can I really trust that my life is going to be okay? - Fountain of Grace International

Some weeks leave you wrung out. You have looked at old wounds, wrestled with people who hurt you, tried to forgive yourself for things you cannot undo. That is heavy work. And somewhere underneath all of it, there is this quiet, honest fear: what if my life does not turn out okay? Jeremiah wrote Lamentations sitting in the rubble of Jerusalem. Everything had collapsed. And from that exact place he wrote this:

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

- Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

Before you do anything else today, say the words out loud: 'Great is thy faithfulness.' Not because everything is fixed. Because it is Wednesday 19 August and you are still here, which means God's mercies have not run out yet. Let that land before your first meeting or your first task.

Lord, I do not always feel okay. But I choose to trust that your compassions have not failed me, not once. You have brought me this far and that is enough reason to keep going. Amen.
