Does God even notice how tired of waiting I am?
Pretoria North · 7 August 2026

Some prayers have been on your lips for so long you almost feel ashamed to say them again. The silence starts to feel personal, like maybe God has moved on and left your situation behind. That is not doubt, it is exhaustion, and it is more honest than most people admit out loud. David, the man God called a friend, wrote these exact words into scripture so you would know this feeling has a place before God.
"How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?"
- Psalm 13:1-2 (KJV)
Today, before you pray your usual prayer, say out loud to God exactly how tired you are of waiting. Not dressed up, just honest. One sentence is enough. Bring the weariness, not just the request. He can hold both.
Lord, I am tired and I will not pretend otherwise. You already know how long I have been waiting. Meet me here in the honesty, not on the other side of it. Amen.
