How do I stop waiting for a sign and just start?
Pretoria North · 5 June 2026

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."
- James 4:17 (KJV)
You have become an expert at gathering confirmations instead of taking steps.
One more sign. One more person's approval. One more season of certainty. You know what needs to happen - you have known for months. But confirmation feels safer than commitment. It feels like preparation when it is actually procrastination wearing a spiritual costume. The truth is, you are waiting for a version of certainty that does not exist.
Here is what nobody tells you: the thing you almost started six times has already given you all the information you need. More signs will not make you braver. More approval will not make you ready. "Now we see through a glass, darkly" - we will never see everything clearly before we move. The people who change are not the ones who wait until they are certain. They are the ones who decide that staying is more painful than trying.
Your resistance is not really about needing one more confirmation.
It is about needing permission to fail, and no one can give you that but yourself.
