Why can't I break my bad habits?
By Ricardo Zaal, Founder and Lead Pastor ·

You already know where it leads. You have walked that road enough times to recognise the scenery. And yet, almost before you notice, you are on it again. That is not weakness. That is what a worn path does. It pulls your feet without asking permission. God knew this about us, and He put the answer earlier in the day, not at the moment you are already falling.
"Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established."
- Proverbs 4:26 (KJV)
Think of one moment today when the familiar pull usually starts. Maybe it is 9pm with your phone, or the first coffee break, or the drive home. Before that moment arrives, decide right now what you will do instead. Write it in your phone notes. One decision made in advance is worth ten made in a panic.
If you could name the exact moment your day starts to go sideways, what would you do differently if you saw it coming?
Lord, show me my path before I am already on the wrong one. Help me to stop and think before my feet move out of habit. I want to walk with You today, not follow an old track. Amen.
