Why do I feel like I'm losing time I can never get back?

You are lying awake or sitting with your tea, and the thought comes quietly: where did the years go? Not a dramatic crisis. Just that ache when you count what passed and wonder if you are already too far behind to matter. It catches people at 34, at 52, at 19. It is not weakness. It is the question every honest person asks. And into that exact moment, God says something worth hearing:

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

- Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

Before you leave the house today, name one morning from your past when things were hard but you got through. One morning. Write it on your hand or type it in your notes. Then look at today's date. You made it to this morning too.

If every morning really does come with new mercy, what would change about the way you face this one?

God, I feel the weight of time and I don't always know what to do with it. Remind me that your mercies reach this morning, not just the good ones behind me. I am still here, and that is enough to start. Amen.
