Why do I keep going back to the same thing I hate? - Fountain of Grace International

Paul wrote that from prison, but he could have written it from your Monday morning. That pull toward the thing you promised yourself you were done with, again, is one of the most honest experiences a person can have. You are not strange. You are not too far gone. But here is the soft question worth sitting with today: is there one small door you keep leaving open, maybe without even noticing it anymore?

"For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."

- Romans 7:19 (KJV)

Before tonight, name that one door out loud, just to God. Not a long prayer. One sentence: 'Lord, this is the thing.' Then ask Him for one practical way to close it by a centimetre today, not for ever, just today.

What is the one small habit or place or moment that keeps leading you back, and what would it look like to simply not start there tomorrow?

Lord, I am tired of the same loop. I am not asking to be perfect. I am asking for help with one door, today. Show me what to do with it, and give me the will to do it. Amen.
