When I look back, did any of it even matter?
Pretoria North · 9 September 2026

Some mornings the weight of a whole life sits on you. You count the years, the hard ones especially, and you wonder if you were seen, if anything held, if the road added up to something. That feeling is honest. It is also incomplete. Because there is another way to read a life, and God has been reading yours from the beginning.
"I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old."
- Psalm 77:11 (KJV)
Before tonight, write down one thing God brought you through that you almost forgot. It can be small. A door that opened when you expected it to close. A person who showed up. Write it down on your phone or on paper, and say thank you out loud for that one thing.
Lord, help me see my life the way you see it. I forget so easily. Remind me today of what you have already done, and let that be enough to trust you with what is still ahead. Amen.
