Is God doing something in me even when prayer feels pointless? - Fountain of Grace International

There is a particular kind of discomfort in praying day after day and feeling like the words just hit the ceiling. It can make you wonder if you are doing it wrong, or if anything is happening at all. But dry seasons in prayer are not empty seasons. Something is being built in you that could not be built any other way. God says it plainly:

"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

- James 1:3-4 (KJV)

Today, write down one quality you can see in yourself now that was not there a year ago, patience, steadiness, a quieter ego, a softer heart. Just one. Sit with it for a minute and let it be evidence that God has not been idle.

What might God be forming in you right now that you have not yet thought to call growth?

Lord, help me trust that what feels dry is not dead. Teach me to see the work You are doing in me, even when I cannot feel it. I choose to believe You are building something good. Amen.
