Why do I never have money?

You check the balance again. Same number, different day. You have been careful, you have cut things, you have said no to yourself more times than you can count, and still the money does not stretch. It does not make sense. Solomon watched people with much less somehow get by, and people who hoarded every cent still end up short. He wrote down what he saw.

"There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty."

Before tonight, find one small thing you can give away. Ten rands for a colleague's transport, half your lunch, five minutes of real help to someone who is struggling. Not because the account is full. Because you are choosing to trust that God is your source, not your careful management.

What is one thing you are holding so tightly right now that it might be holding you back?

God, fear makes me grip harder when things feel thin. Help me to open my hands today, even a little. I trust that You are my supply, not my own careful counting. Amen.
