Why does waiting feel so hard?

You are sitting with something unresolved. Maybe it is a job, a relationship, a result, a phone call that has not come. Days go by. You check. Still nothing. And the worst part is not the wait itself. It is the feeling that nothing is moving, that you are standing still while life goes on around you. But something is happening in you, even now. Listen to what God says into that silence.

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope."

- Romans 5:3-4 (KJV)

Tonight, before you sleep, write down one thing this waiting has grown in you. Not a big thing. Maybe just a little more patience with your child. A quieter way of handling bad news. A small, hard-won trust you did not have six months ago. Name it. It cost you something real.

What if the thing being built in you right now is worth just as much as the thing you are waiting for?

God, I have been watching the door and missing what you are doing in me. I trust that none of this time is wasted. Build what only waiting can build. Amen.
