What if my waiting is actually doing something in me?
Pretoria North · 10 August 2026

There is a moment in a long wait when the question shifts. It stops being 'when will this end?' and starts being 'what is this doing to me?' Maybe that second question is the more honest one. Maybe the thing you are waiting for is not the only thing God is working on right now. He says something here that is worth sitting with.
"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope."
- Romans 5:3-4 (KJV)
Before today ends, ask yourself this one question quietly: what has this waiting period actually built in me that I did not have before? Write down one thing, even a small one. Patience. Empathy. A quieter trust. Name it. It is real, and it cost you something.
Lord, I will be honest, I have only been watching the door. Help me to also see what you are building in me while I stand here. I trust that nothing in this wait is wasted. Amen.
