What is God actually doing while I am this exhausted?
Pretoria North · 21 July 2026

When you are running on fumes, the last thing you want to hear is that this is good for you. That can feel like being told to smile through a broken leg. But there is a difference between someone dismissing your pain and someone showing you it is not wasted. You are not just surviving a hard stretch. Something is being built in you that could not have been built any other way. This is what God says into the exhaustion:
"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope."
- Romans 5:3-4 (KJV)
Before tonight, write down one thing that is harder for you now than it was two years ago, and then write one thing you can handle now that you could not handle then. Let that second thing be your evidence. God has been working longer than you noticed.
What quiet strength in you might only exist because of the weight you have been carrying?
Lord, I have been so focused on how tired I am that I missed what you are building. Thank you that this is not pointless. Form in me what only this season can form, and let me trust your hands. Amen.
