Why do I keep falling into the same thing over and over?

You know the feeling. You said you were done with it. Maybe last week, maybe last night. And then Tuesday morning, or a quiet moment alone, or just a bad day at work, and there it was again. The same pull. You are not broken for feeling it. Every person who has ever tried to live right has stood in exactly that spot. God is not surprised by where you are this morning, and He is not disappointed in the way you fear He is. Listen to what He says.

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

Before you reach for your phone or step into the first demand of your day, say this out loud: "There is a way out." Not a declaration that everything is fixed. Just a small agreement with what God already said. That one sentence, spoken in your kitchen or your car or your bathroom in Pretoria on a Thursday morning, is a real act of faith.

Lord, I am tired of the same fight. But You said You are faithful, and I choose to believe that today. Show me the way out when I need it. I trust You with the parts of me I am still ashamed of. Amen.
