Why do I stay busy but never actually change anything? - Fountain of Grace International

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."

- Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
You've been busy, haven’t you? Shuffling pieces, disguising movement as change. Your calendar’s full, yet nothing seems to shift. It’s exhausting, isn’t it? This dance of denial. The weight of what you avoid feels safer than the risk of what you must face. You cling tightly to familiar burdens. Rearrange them, dress them in new thoughts. Yet they remain. The problem isn’t the weight you carry but why you carry it. You think it keeps you steady, prevents chaos. In truth, it holds you still. You’ve trapped yourself in a circle of your own making. “Lay aside every weight,” said the writer of Hebrews. Not just sin, but every weight. You’ve trapped yourself in busywork, hoping for a different ending. But there’s a freedom in release, if you’re brave enough to loosen your grip. So, what’s truly valuable? Are you willing to release what never served you? Blessings - Fountain of Grace International
