Why do I feel empty after success?

You hit the thing you were chasing. The promotion, the move, the number in your account, the moment people started calling you stable. And then, somewhere between getting there and waking up the next Monday, something shifted. Maybe you felt restless, or quietly confused, or just strangely hollow where the hunger used to live. You are not broken for feeling it. That emptiness is a signal, not a sentence. God named this moment long before you reached it.

"Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked."

Before tonight, write down one thing you were desperately asking God for two years ago that you now have and no longer think about. Hold it for a minute. Thank him for it out loud, by name. That small act of remembering is how the hollow starts to fill.

What were you trusting in back when you had less, that you might have quietly stopped trusting now?

God, I had more fire when I had less. Show me what I have been leaning on instead of you. Fill what success left empty in me. Amen.
