Helping Someone Actually Keeps Them Stuck

Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah to the King of Kings. Oh, greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We praise you, we worship you, Jesus, for you are God. There is no one like you, no one can even be compared to you, my God. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Have you ever wondered that when it comes to dependent, have you ever wondered why is your children called dependent or dependence? Why is your children called dependence? Now, why your children is called dependents is because they are depending on you for everything that they need. That is why they are called dependents. And do you know that when you have, let's say when you are an influencer, like influencer, maybe TikTok, Facebook, whatever, or maybe like Tony Robbins for argument's sake. When you're an influencer, it means that you have some sort of influence on others. That is why you're called influencer. But do you also know that for some reason the word dependent becomes a word that we have so much on ourselves with. that we don't realize that when you say dependent, you mean somebody needs to be dependent upon you as a person. So this morning, I want to go on with my series on Your Good Heart Kills Others Now you will soon understand why i saying that but i also want to make mention to you this now that when you looking at life for some reason you were relying on somebody and for some reason you feel disappointed that the person didn't do what the person was supposed to do. Like for argument's sake, your mom was saying to you that, look, let's say your school have a... What is that thing called? Okay, let me call it Afrikaans. I can't get to the name now in English. It's where you are in grade 7. I think grade 7. Yeah, when you are in grade 7, you now need to go to grade 8. Then this thing that they give you to let you go to your next school. And then in matric. It's a... Oh, thank you, my friend. Farewell. There we go. Farewell. So when you have this farewell and your mom is saying to you, look, I'm going to buy you this dress. And then the dress is, for argument's sake, worth 2,000 rand. But then suddenly something happened. And it happened that you now get closer to your farewell and your mom is telling you, look, the dress that you were saying I must get to you with 2,000 rand is no longer affordable. You feel so disappointed. Now the disappointment makes you to not look at the cheaper version that you currently have. And it makes that cheaper version look bad in your eyes. But the thing is, what I'm trying to say is that the thing I'm talking about is that your good heart will kill others. because your children is relying now on you for making sure that you are paying that two thousand rent worth of dress but suddenly you don't have the money because something came up just a day before you were supposed to go and pay and then suddenly one of the kids got sick maybe for argument sake just making an example God forbid something like that happened and suddenly you now have to use off this 2000 rand that you already put separate for the dress and now suddenly you now have to then use that money for the sick kid So what that makes then, it makes you to be seen as unreliable. But do you know that if you turn this picture around, say for argument's sake now, instead of you telling your daughter that you're going to buy the dress with a 2,000 rent, why not then ask your daughter then, look, you work for every 20 rent, let's call it 50 rent a day. For four days go and work in somebody's house Maybe whatever And then 50 rent a day it's at least 200 grand And so it goes on and so it goes on Until your daughter have the money To actually buy the dress herself Do you know that the picture of you giving somebody In your mind You're saying to the person I'm going to give this to you But then suddenly when it comes to the time That you're supposed to give your daughter this money to buy the dress, you don't have it. And that makes it a disappointment to your daughter. But you see, the difference is that if your daughter is the one that was earning the money and can't get to that amount of 2,000 rent in time where she's supposed to buy the dress, it would have been something else because the daughter would have then felt like, okay, I didn't manage to get it. And that teach the daughter already grown up stuff. What I mean by grown up stuff is that, you know, I'm working in a performance based kind of work. So what it means is that if I don't work, I don't get paid. So it all depends on, no, I can't say if I don't work, I don't get paid. Let me rather say if I don't work hard enough, I don't earn hard enough. I don't earn more. So it's the same thing you're teaching your children then already to get into a situation where they can then be helped by knowing that I should be making my own money not to rely on others You know why I saying this now Why I making mention of this Because you soon grow a daughter that every man that comes her way and telling her I going to buy you a dress worth of 2,000 rand, she thinks that person is loving her with her whole heart. I mean with his whole heart. In the meantime, the person is looking for or is actually looking for something else and your daughter see this as this is how my mom and dad used to love me, that they love me so much that every time I'm asking for somebody, for something, they give it to me. Because of the love that you show is by giving monetary value or clothing or whatever the case may be. So in this case your good heart is killing your daughter for not knowing that it's actually unfair for her to rely on another man to look after her when she's a grown-up so so so your good heart kills her and you don't even know it or you don't even realize it so when i look at it in certain situations. My mom was looking after my kids, or not kids, my eldest son, to be honest, to be specific. My eldest son stayed with my mom, and it made me to feel relieved that I don't have to stress. Even if I don't get paid, my mom will buy the shoes. My mom will buy the clothes. My mom, it's not her place to look after my children. It's my to look after my children. You see, so it teaches you things that you're not supposed to. And that is why I'm saying your good heart as a Christian is killing so many. So I was just giving you the feedback. I was just giving you the breakdown of what I was speaking about. last week in a nutshell. So why I'm saying to you that it's just best to have certain things worked out better. And what I mean by that is, let me go to what I said last week now. Do you know that when you as a church have a charity event, the charity event, What it does, it hands out something to somebody. And by doing that, number one, you make that person to be reliant or dependent upon you. So for the week that you don't buy them the bread, is the week that they are angry at you. Because you're making them used to every week there needs to be a bread. But they don't work for it They just forget it Do you know what you also does? At the same time when you give it to them You make them to be dependent or reliant on you And at the same time You make them to degrade themselves What I mean by degrading is that When somebody getting hands out Hand outs always They feel sometimes Or not all of them Some of them feel like I can't even look after myself because every time I'm hungry, I have to wait for that bread to come. So that feeling, the feelings that you give them is bad. So when you do that, do you know that some, like myself, to be honest, I won't go and stand in a queue for bread. Even when I was younger, I refused to go and stand in the queue for that. You know at school we used to get that feeding scheme. Yeah, feeding scheme. Yeah, feeding scheme. We used to get that feeding scheme. There's no food at home. I'm telling you, there's nothing going on. The fridge is empty. The cupboards is empty. But I refused to go and stand in the queue. Because I felt like I'm a teacher's son. and being a teacher's son, I'm not allowed to look at hands out. My mom will look after me. Because of that is the feeling that makes me to realize that I refuse to stand in a queue because the moment I stand in the queue, I'm downgrading my way of looking after myself. And that is the reason why you making people to not see that it's wrong to keep on relying on others. It wrong in a sense of let me make sure that you understand the difference It wrong in a sense of making the person to fully depend on you and it right to make the person to have something to eat yes But it's also wrong for the person not to look at alternative ways, because you don't give them options. Whoever is kind to the poor Lends to the Lord Description eh? But let me explain to you When you are kind does not mean That when you go to the poor You just give them whatever they need If they need shoes, give them Be kind to the poor in a sense of making them feel that I earned what you have given me. What I mean by that is instead of you taking the poor guy and going and buying the groceries and at the end of the day, it was easy come, easy go. You know, there's a saying, this thing makes me sometimes wonder. You give your child a hundred rent. Do you know that for a child of six years, seven years, that hundred rent can at least last for, let's say, two weeks maybe? Let's say one week. Let's make it 20 rent a day. But do you know that because they're getting the money easily, they can just go to the shop, buy one, two, three, four, five, getting back, and the money is done. Because it's easy come, easy go. It's the same with the guys that steal. You know there's people that steal And they never have money They steal Every time they steal They never have money Sorry about that Let me Let me go through a scripture I wonder Sorry about this. I just want to give you a scripture quickly. Let me read the scripture to you now Ephesians 4 and verse 28 It says that, Let him that stole steel no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good that he may have to give to him that needed. So the Bible is also saying it to you that you don't steal in this scripture. Although the Ten Commandments also give you that, But I'm just giving you this Ephesians scripture, Ephesians 4 verse 28, where it says that if you still rather go and work to give to the ones that is in need of things. Because in this case, it will help you to make more people that is not, or let me say, to make more independent people. as a church that is what we do we make dependent people and I was also saying to you the same things that I said to you last week I said to you that it's also ignoring the dignity of work because anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer but must work so doing things useful with their own hands Thank you so much. about temporary fixes which create long-term problems. So what I mean by temporary fixes the Bible says in James it says or let me say suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food they don have this If one of you say to them, go in peace, keep women well fed, but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? So now, the Bible says, you should give it to them. That's what the Bible says But now my problem I'm saying to you is When you give the person Just give it to him It's a short term solution That fix the problem now But when you give the person Something that is worth more Like I was saying to you That teach a person how to fish instead of giving them fish. Because if you do give them the fish, it lasts about one meal. So it's a temporary fix that creates a long-term problem. And what the long-term problem in this case is, the person will come back to you and ask for fish again. Why haven't you giving them, instead of giving them the fish, giving them the fishing rod instead? Because the fishing rod makes them to be working for their own food. And that's a long-term solution as if you just give the food. And that is the reason why I'm saying to you, you are killing your brother, you are killing your sister. Let me go to the scripture I was reading last week. I said to you in Luke, I said to you in Luke Let me just go In Luke 16 In Luke 16 verse 28 For I have five brethren That he may testify unto them Lest they also come into the place of torment What that scripture is Before that Two people when they died And then the one when he gets to hell and saw the torment that is happening there trying to think ish now I need to my dependence that is at home my five brothers that is in the home I'm thinking of the five brothers that can't look after themselves because they have not heard the word and therefore please tell them. It's the same thing I'm saying to you today that this is what Christians are doing. You are killing your own brother, your own sister, thinking you are doing good. Do you know that if somebody reads their Bible themselves, God speaks the more. But if you keep on giving them scriptures on the pulpit and they're not even bothered about reading the Bible, what are you doing in that case? You are spoon feeding them. And that is the reason why this scripture, when it comes to this person saying, I'm already in hell now. What am I going to do? My brother, my sister is on earth doing these funny things and whatever they are doing, I don't want them to be in the same situation that I'm in at the moment. So please send somebody to them. You're still looking or trying to look after them. But today, I want to tell you, it's just best teach them how instead of doing it for them. So that's the long and the short of the message that I've given to you thus far. But is there another point I've... Okay, no, no, no. This is the points I've given to you last week. But let me go a step further now. Now I need you to ask me the question. So now, Ricardo, you are saying that I should not be giving somebody food, I should not be giving somebody clothes, I should not be giving somebody whatever it is that they are in need of. Are you saying to me that the Bible is wrong by saying, if you say God bless you and you're not giving the physical blessing yourself, isn't it wrong? Are you saying that when the Bible says that you lend to God when you look after the poor, is wrong to do that So I need to come back and say to you no please don get me wrong Because that is what the Bible is saying You should be giving it to them But also, what is more important is that you need to gain people that trust more on God. You see where the difference comes in? Because people are relying on a human being. While the Bible says, lean not on the arm of flesh. So this is what I mean. Don't make people to lean more onto your hand instead of seeking God's hand. Because if you are in a position where you can actually get people to lean more on God than to rely on you, you will actually make more disciples than what you are doing at the moment because you are making followers for yourself. And you are getting the glory because people, anytime they see you, they see solutions. And that solutions is not supposed to be you. That is supposed to be the solution giver. God is supposed to be the solution giver. So come on, church of God, please stop with you being the one that is in the spotlight. Stop being the man of God that keeps on saying, I gave it to them. Stop being the one that keeps on saying, it's because of me that you are sitting where you are sitting. Stop being the one that makes people to be so reliant on you that whenever they see you, they even run to fill your tank of petrol because they know here's a 50 rand that is going to come. Stop being the person that gets seen as the one that every time whenever I'm hungry, I know I can go to the church and when I get to the church, they will be giving me money or they will be giving me food or they will be giving me clothes. Stop getting to that point. Get to a point where you make them to fully rely on God himself and not on you as a person, not on you as a church, not on you as a man of God, but on God himself. This is the reason why I'm saying your good heart kills others. Your good heart kills others. please don't get me wrong when I say to you don't give it to them but you making them to rely on you more than they rely on God and it where you are having it wrongly you know so much so many men of God have so many followers that every day when the person comes on a Facebook or TikTok or wherever there so many people flooding their inboxes. Men of God, give me a word. Men of God, prophesy. But the same person has not read their Bible for the last hundred years. I'm telling you. So why do you want to give them quick solutions and not give them solutions that have more impact into their lives. Because if you are a person that keeps on prophesying to them, that keeps on giving them the word, you are the one that is taking away from them to read their own Bible and get their own solutions by their own revelation from God and not the revelation from you. Because you were the one that you got the revelation from God to give it to them. But now you are taking that responsibility off from them and you are taking the responsibility. That is why you as a man of God have so many problems because everybody's problem is upon you. Instead of asking them, come on, you have a prayer point. Why not pray? Why not ask for God for solutions according to the Bible? Call unto me and I will answer you. Call unto me and I will show you good things. Why you as a person keep on giving them the word while they're supposed to go and look for the word in yourself. So this is the reason why I'm saying you on your good heart, you are the one that is killing, you are killing, you are killing the people men. I'm asking you one question Why do you think that So many people are following you It's because of They're not following Christ They're following you because You keep on giving them the quick fix The quick fix The quick fix Because anytime whenever they need to know something They know they can come to you instead of going to God that will give them solutions that will last forever you giving them solutions that is of a short-term side and that is why you have so many prayer requests you have so many people standing in line to to to to to to seek your counseling you have so many people that anytime whenever they they go into to church they know today I going to get after church I going to get the collection that they given Now I coming to church You know that so many people in the streets are actually not coming to church because they know they're going to get the solution. They're just going to get a quick fix for the next fix, which is the drug problems or whatever they have. Because whatever you think you're giving them clothes, you think you're giving them food, you're giving them something to go sell so that they can fix their needs. So, word of God, I'm not picking on you, but I'm just saying to you, get people to be more reliant on God than to rely on yourself. Because the more they rely on you is the more you're keeping them from going to where they're supposed to be. You're taking their destinies away from you Because by you keep on giving them solutions Instead of they seeking for their own solutions Through God's word Come on, I'm telling you this morning It's a bit of a difficulty to tell somebody Look, I don't have the money But if you can come and work in my yard I can give you the money And the moment the person is hearing Work in my yard The person run And then will never come back to you That is why when you do that, I can tell you so many people will not be coming to you and seeking for solutions because they know that you will give them the right way of getting things. So what are you doing? What are you doing? You are killing them. Even if your heart is in the right place You are the one that kills them I would like to give you some solutions Because this is the solutions that will help you to help others The first solution is to provide guidance and mentorship Now how did you become a man of God? Show them how did you become a man of God Show them how did you become a solution giver Not just by preaching on and telling them this is what God says, but tell them how did you get where you are? Because if you can give mentorship and come on, please stop with this thing of you saying, I want to mentor you, but you need to give me 50,000, 20,000. The problem is that you sound like the worldly people. Tell them, if I give you this and you don't see solution, you don't give me anything. But if there's a solution, come, give me something out of your heart. Because through that, the value that you give them, they will then give you more than what you actually expected. Maybe if I look at it now, you know, sometimes I take my car to a mechanic, which is my dear friend. He will tell you, look, the fee is 300 rand. And you think to yourself, but how do you live over 300 rand? And this is such a hard work to do. And then when I look at it, I will see the 300 rand in my mind. But already the work shows me that this is actually supposed to be 600 rand. and not 300 rand. But I don't tell him at that time, when I'm done, I will just give him the money because I feel the value is worth more than what you actually have asked for. And that is why it's important when you do things, when you do a mentorship program, do the mentorship program first and then ask for the fees. Because through that, people that could have paid you actually a million rand for just one session to be with you will now give you a hundred grand because you asked a hundred grand. Men of God, please provide guidance in a sense of whenever somebody is saying to you, how did you actually get to a situation where God can so quickly speak to you? When somebody asks you a question, then you just answer because it's a quick question that comes and then suddenly God gives you that answer and then you answer. How did you get there? Show them how to get there Prove to them By reading your Bible God gives you more solutions If you're looking at it Proverbs 27 verse 17 says it so nicely Proverbs says As iron sharpen iron So one person sharpens another It's not through just You literally dump things on people and you expect them to grow they not going to grow because you just keep on giving it to them Your good heart kills others Your good heart always are killing somebody So please do guidance and mentorship. That's number one. Number two, encourage problem solving. You know, when my son and my daughters come with assignments, when they come to me with assignments, I will ask them questions and keep on asking them questions up until they realize they can do it on their own. And then sometimes I will step in just to make this Q thing a little bit better. But I've given them the idea already I encourage them To have the problem Resolved on their own So if you don't provide guidance You don't provide mentorship You don't encourage problem solving Because if you're looking at it now Proverbs 15 verse 22 Says it and I'm giving All the scriptures in the new international Version I have my What do you call it King James version But today I want you to understand it better. I don't want you to say yay and then you think I'm saying yay. So I want you to get this straight. Now Proverbs 15 verse 22 says it so nicely. Plans fail for a lack of counsel, but with many advisors, they succeed. Encourage individuals to seek advice and counsel promotes wise decision making. So when you encourage them, you know, this is why I love life coaching so much. I'm a life coach. Okay, I'm not marketing my business. Please don't get me wrong. But I'm just trying to give you an understanding. Life coaching is something that is taking a person and polishing that person. For every question you ask, you bring the person out that the person is already. It not to say you changing people You just brighten them up You just making them shine They are the diamonds already all you do is you just hard press them and where you hard press them you actually helping them to become the diamonds that they are that is life coaching so this is why i'm saying to you you need to encourage the problem solving with them because when you do that you're actually helping them to always look for solutions if you have a if you have a road to go to a certain place If there's traffic and you keep on getting stuck in traffic and you don't reroute because there's only one way that you know and it's the only way you know. It's the same in life. You just don't need to keep on hitting your heart against the wall while the problem is here. You keep on hitting your head to that same wall. And the more you come, you hit your head to the same wall. Look for other alternative solutions. Because if you route to a new route, you can actually find that it's better to drive on the other side than driving where you've been hitting traffic most of the time. Because through that is the reason why so many people are where they are. Because they keep on thinking that this solution is the solution that if I just hold on, if I can just hold on for one more day, it might be the solution to my problem. But if there's another alternative, take the risk of taking that alternative. Take that risk. Because if you risk alternatives, you're actually getting a quicker step to where you're supposed to be. So, when I look at some men of God, I'm just laughing. And I'm like, you create so much problems for yourself. I can't believe it. You think that whatever you are doing at this moment, you are doing it out of your good heart. But you are creating a bigger problem for yourself. I love giving to people. Don't get me wrong. I love it. You know when I see somebody on the street, and I see the person doesn't have shoes, and I look at the person, and I'm thinking, Yo, what can I do to help this person? And most of the time, I won't help. I would rather get something that is more of a helping way to get them If I see you are dirty why isn it best to just take the person and go and buy a vaslap and soap Let the person go and do the washing. But do you know that the same person that you gave the soap and the washing, the cloth now, You give them that. Tomorrow you see them dirty again and you wonder what happened. They sold that. They sold it. They didn't use it. So the better option, rather take them to a place where you know they can get a shower. And they will do it while you are there. and when you're done you give the person and say tomorrow you can come here again this person will keep on helping you this is the kind of thing I mean there's so many malls the mall have a bathroom like not a bathroom but there's a basin that you can just wash your face but do you think they will do that because they won't do it to wash them because now they look clean and people will not give to them. They want to look like that. They want to look like... It's not to say that you are... You won't help them. You're making life hard for them because if you give them a face wash, They will cry Because now they don't look Like they in need of something anymore That is the reason why they don't wash Their faces You think you know You have not seen a lot You have not seen Bishop you know what If you go to the street now And you give a person Vaslav soap, go and bath. You give him clean clothes. Do you know that that person will not clean up? Because if they are clean, the next person won't give them to rent anymore. They won't. Because they can see, this guy looks nice, he looks too neat to be hobo. Encourage problem solving. Encourage problem solving means that when a person is on the street and you don't keep on telling them to go and work, they will not go and work. if you help them. You know that there's so many people, in fact, that is on the street that have houses. And I'm talking about big, oh, massive houses. I'm talking about them because it's just easier. I'm not talking about this one that every time when the church have this eating thing, let's say a program where there's food the moment there's food the guy has food at home but he feels that food can stay for later the church will feed me today you are killing others with your good heart done, period, finished if you don't give them guidance, you don't provide guidance for them, you don't provide mentorship for them, you don't encourage them to have their own way of solving their problems, you are killing them. And also, what you are doing is that you're not celebrating them when they do some things that shows they are independent. Do you know that when you have kids, you will keep on tying their shoes for them. You will keep on tying their shoes for them because you don't teach them how. Say, go take this one, go take that one. And then the moment they get it right, even if it's not like fast that you wanted to, clap hands and say, wow, you did it. You celebrate that they have become independent on fixing their shoes But now because of the shoe is not thoroughly tight let me do it for you ah man come on you know you know you know celebrate independence when when when when uh you let me let me talk to the man of god man of god let me do this man you don't celebrate somebody for quoting a scripture for you You just You just allow this You just know this person has been coming to church Since he was young Up until now And suddenly this person Quote the scripture Do you know that that person heard the scripture from you That person maybe have never Read the Bible in his entire life Because you keep on giving them So celebrate That they have Given you scripture. Because it shows that somewhere, somehow, they have learned it. But get to a point where you ask them to read the Bible more. Read the Bible more because by reading the Bible more, you get more independent. Because if you depend on man, lean not on the arm of flesh. If you lean on the arm of flesh, they were bound to be disappointing you. You will be so disappointed that you can't understand but the pastor said when he will pray for me my marriage will be better. Your marriage won't be better because the pastor has prayed for you. Your marriage will get better because you have to roll up your sleeves and work in the mud yourself. Get dirty man. Get dirty Say to that wife tonight I refuse to sleep If we don't resolve this issue today Get your hands dirty Because the pastor's preaching Will become next week The preaching for you You know some men in this church Can't even look after their wives They can't even talk to their wives You become the new preaching topic man So So dig in, dig in. Get your hands dirty. Get to be self-dependent. Get to rely on your own Because by relying on your own it where you get closer to God Because God is the only solution giver No one else I sometimes wish that people can understand what they are doing. When they are doing certain things. I really wish They could understand more Let me rather say that Let me not say understand But they can understand more You know Galatians 6 I want to go there Galatians 6 Galatians 6 Verse 4 and 5 Forgive me Let's read Galatians 6 verse 1. I'm giving you scriptures because obviously I want you to say, Hey, this one just preach, preach, preach. No scriptures. Then at the end of the day, you will come back and say, Hey man, the thing you are talking about is true. Why is it true? I don't know. Where did you get that? So let me read this now Galatians 6 verse 4 Says now But let every man prove his own work Did you hear? His own work And then shall he have rejoicing In himself alone And not in another For every man Shall bear his own Burden He didn't say He didn't say I will bear your burden It's only Jesus that says My burden is light And no my yoke is What's the scripture You know sometimes when the scriptures fly And I can't get to it rightly Like the way it says Let me quote it like I say it The Bible says that my, come to me, you see, because my burden is light and my yoke is what, what, what? I can get to the words now But meaning to say that he says that when you go to jesus is where your burden becomes lighter so yeah it says for every man shall bear his own burden but if you bear your own burden do you know if you get god in in in in in that it makes life easier no no mongobos no scannery no no one that will tell you hey man you know this one um he told me that he he stole the money and now he doesn't know how to get the money back because he wants to give the money back but he's going to to kill his reputation go to god and ask god god how am i going to make this because now i've stole the money and i know I've sold the money. I know I need to give the money back. Give me an opportunity how to give the money back. So that even though it's something that I did wrong, but in my confession of doing something wrong and confessing to God, I have done it wrongly. Help me with solution. And God will help you with solution. Sometimes I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm worried. Because if I'm saying to you, celebrate being independent. Now, to celebrate being independent, it's literally, you can take pride in yourself without comparing yourself even to somebody else. Because if you take up your burden, you don't need to say, My burden is heavier Than my friend's burden Because once you compare You soon realize that Sometimes Your burden is not even that hard If you compare to the other one Because then you realize Uh oh That one is carrying a lot harder load than me So carry your own I want to give you another one as well. Promote a learning culture. This is something that most preachers don't understand if I can say that way they give you everything you know it's nice to preach because you you get fresh fruit from fresh food from God but when you get it fresh from God giving it to the church it's secondhand food It's second hand food Now you're giving Leftovers To God I mean to God's people And you know what What I mean by leftovers You know what I mean by leftovers You get a revelation That is powerful From God But to convey it over To God's people Because it was not For God's people it was yours Now you're giving it Like a broken telephone You know broken telephone Broken telephone What it does Is somebody say Please help Then by the time It gets to the third person The person says please help me By the time it gets to the fourth person Please help Troubles You know, so broken telephone is the same thing When you gain something from God yourself It is for you More than it is for others I sometimes ask myself God, these things of me and you Where does it go? Because for some reason I like relying on others preaching because they preach well. They are learned. You know some preachers, when they preach that, they have a certain vocabulary, like the way they articulate things. You know, there's some apostles there that when you hear them, you think their mother tongue is English. The way they speak, nice English. Then you come with Ricardo here from the place. that side from the farm coming with his English and he feel how do you call it inferior because his English or his articulation is not that well But do you know that when you promote a learning culture it is something that you learn from others and not trying to be better or trying to be like them. You learn ways that it's best for you as a person. Do you know that I can speak Suthu easily? I can speak Suthu easily. But in my preaching, I know for a fact that my wife is not going to hear what I say if I can preach Suthu. And I like my wife to listen to me so that afterwards she will come and tell me, You know, this nonsense you're talking about there doesn't make sense. You're supposed to say it this way. So I would like to have that critical feedback because that is my learning culture. That's how I learn. So have you ever seen... Let's talk about Kenneth Hagen. Everybody probably knows Kenneth Hagen. Now Kenneth Hagin is an old man being in ministry even I think before my dad was born even. But the amount of time that he's been in ministry gives him a better way of saying something from the Bible and giving it to you on a flat basis. But you that just come to Christ yesterday think that you are useless because you cannot be like Kenneth Higgins. You need to look at the person and say, what can I learn from this person? So, so, so, so, man of God, let me, let me also explain something to you now. You keep on Telling people How wrong they are And not telling them How right they are Doesn't create a learning environment Because Learning is something That should be Changing you To become better Not making you feel Worse off than what you were before It like my sins I'm worse than you. You are the person that drinks and smokes every day. Me, I do this thing where I see other girls in the background where my wife is not. So that thing is not seen And now I'm talking about you Smoking and drinking every day And I'm telling you how sinful you are But in my own eye There's this big thing That I can't talk about And that is why people don't learn From somebody who keeps on telling them how wrong they are. Give them more of hand clap. You did it, my son. You know, this morning, the prophetic that you gave was so powerful. I even heard you when you say it. You said it out of your spirit. And that came so nicely. Now you're looking for the only thing that is said wrong. And pick on that. How can somebody keep on learning if you use the more of the picking on the bad things than picking on the best things that you were doing? Because through that, he can learn. But tell him, look, this was very, very nice. I love the way you did this. I love the way you dissect that word. And then afterwards, but this is just something that you did wrongly. is just this one thing that you were supposed to say this way. Now the person doesn't feel offended. You know, the reason he doesn't feel offended is because of the person now got a good word from you. Now, how do you learn? You learn by doing. I cannot tell my son, you must become a prophet, but I don't allow him to prophesy. I cannot tell my daughter to become a teacher but I don allow her to teach something to somebody It by practice is what makes things to be better. Because you know regular practice on certain things makes a regular understanding of things. My kids, they have this thing about, what is it called? TikToks. And anytime they see things in TikTok, for some reason, they don't know that you are actually supposed to do the things to become like the others, other people they do. Because this is what happened. Now there's a new trend on TikTok. They think that that person is better than them because they come up with a trend. But come up with your own. That's learning. Because if I dance like this and you dance like that, It doesn't mean You are better than me I can't dance this dance Because I have not learned it A learning environment You have to give to them Proverbs 1 verse 5 says it this way Let the wise listen And add to their learning And let the discerning Get guidance This is just a verse and emphasize, it literally, literally emphasize the value of continuous learning and seeking guidance. Let me read the King James Version. Proverbs 1 verse 5. Proverbs 1 verse 5 says, A wise man will hear and will increase learning, and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsel. Meaning to say that a wise man listen. You learn, you listen, and anytime you listen, somebody will tell you, I stole with my eyes. It's like, it's like the person that they go to, to somebody working there. Now, when this person is working, they don't ask questions, they just look. and then after 3, 5, 10, 20 days you suddenly realize oh but this guy he was literally, literally doing the things I have not even taught him how to but by stealing with the eyes is what makes the difference as well so learning comes through different ways not just one way some listen and they learn some see and they learn Some feel My mom used to say this word What it means is that If I keep on telling you something is wrong Don't do it, don't do it I'll leave you So that you can bump your head and feel it yourself So that is what my mom says She said So meaning to say that Even if you jump and you play and you play And she keeps on telling you don't do it She leaves you Let you go and hurt yourself And then you will feel feel and you will learn from there It how things is going isn it So today, I want to end off this message by saying to you, you, as a person, you are killing others with your good head, heart, with your good intentions, with your things that you would like to change the world by giving and giving too much of yourself so that others don't have the opportunity to get it for themselves. By giving to the person that stands next to the road, a turret does not mean that you are helping the person. You are keeping that person standing on that robot for longer. Because the more two rents that person gets, the more the person actually will stand on that robot. And not learn how to go and work for money. Because easy it comes, easy it will go. He will never be satisfied because he got it easily. Heavenly Father, I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. the Lord and say, yeah. And I believe my God, you are the only one that we need to rely on. And I don't just believe it. I know it. I know it that I know. And I know that you are the only one I should be relying on If I can do things for myself I only know you will be helping me how to gain that knowledge to do it So this morning, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I pray, O Lord, that everywhere where somebody goes, let them learn from the situation and not just get from the situation, but learn to get for themselves. Let them be the ones that take the fishing rod instead of the fish, my God. Because by giving them the fish, it doesn't allow them to have a next meal. They will only have one meal for that specific day, Father God. So teach them how to rather take the fishing rod and learn how to go and fish for themselves, my God. In the mighty name of Jesus this morning, my God, I also pray, Father God, for everybody that is under the sound of my voice, Father God, to be more reliant on you than men. Because the Bible says, lean not on the arm of flesh. And therefore, we must not lean on others, but lean on you as a God. And therefore, whatever we do, Father God, let us not take the glory, because glory belongs to you. Honor belongs to you only, Father God. Because you said in your word, you do not share your glory with any man. But as we have been saying Father God so many men of God just give prophecy to people and they take the glory because they have the solutions While you said the words to him to say to others they keep on saying, I said it. But instead of saying, God told me to tell you, this is what you should do. And also, I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, let them be teachers of how they can prophesy in their own lives instead of others relying on others' prophecy Father God. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, this morning, I want to take the time and thank you, Jesus. Thank you. Thank you for this word, because your word is yea and amen. Nothing can be added. Nothing can be taken away. And therefore, I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, for those who don't know you, Father God, let them know you this morning. I ask for forgiveness of their sins, Father God, so that they can come to you and come with a pure heart to you and say, I would like to have my name written in the book of life as well and take away their sins, Father God, so that they can be called also sons of God, so that they can be children of God, Father God. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I pray now. Amen. Now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship rest and abide with us all until Jesus comes. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives And we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen
