How to Know What to Do When Everything Feels Confusing

You already have access to wisdom beyond your own panicked thoughts. Here's how to hear it and use it to guide your decisions when life gets messy.

Pastor Ricardo Zaal · Fountain of Grace International, Pretoria North

Your Circumstances Are Too Loud to Hear Anything Else

When you are drowning in financial stress, relationship chaos, or health fears, those sounds become deafening. Your circumstances scream so loud that any quiet signal gets buried. A still small voice cannot compete with a crisis.

This is not weakness. This is how human attention works. The problem is that the guidance you actually need lives in the quiet spaces, not in the panic. The Bible says to cast all your cares on God because He actually cares for you in detail. But first you have to create space to hear Him.

The issue is not that guidance is unavailable. The issue is that you have never learned to tune your attention away from the noise and toward the signal. Most people spend their entire lives talking to God, asking, begging, demanding answers. Almost none of them stop to listen.

Learning to Recognize Guidance When It Comes

Real guidance does not arrive as a thunderbolt or a voice from the sky. It shows up as a thought that won't leave you alone. A feeling of unease about a situation. A scripture that suddenly makes sense of your confusion. A dream that stays with you. A sense of peace about a decision even when the facts don't add up yet.

The Bible calls this prophetic sensitivity. It is not mystical. It is simply learning to notice what God is already trying to tell you through His word, through your intuition, through the wisdom of people you trust, and through the stillness inside you when everything else goes quiet.

This kind of guidance shows up especially when you stop fighting reality and start paying attention. When you go to a quiet place alone. When you read scripture not to prove a point but to hear what God actually wants you to know. When you listen to music that settles your nervous system instead of ramping it up.

The Secret Place: Where Clarity Actually Happens

You need a place where only you and God exist. Not a place where you sit with God while your mind scrolls through problems. A place where you are actually present and actually listening. This could be a room in your house, a park bench, your car before you start the day, or even five minutes in the shower before the world wakes up.

In that place, something shifts. Your body calms down. Your thoughts slow down. And in that slowness, patterns emerge. You start to see the real problem instead of just the symptom. You remember what matters. You remember who you actually are beneath the stress.

This is not religious ritual. This is practical neurology. Your brain cannot receive subtle signals while it is in survival mode. The secret place is simply where you tell your nervous system it is safe enough to stop screaming.

Specific Tools That Make Guidance Clearer

First, use scripture as a mirror for your situation. When you face a real decision, go back to God's word and ask what He says about this kind of thing. Do not twist scripture to justify what you already want. Instead, let scripture challenge what you think you want. A verse that stands out to you, that makes you uncomfortable or strangely peaceful, is often a signal.

Second, pay attention to symbols and patterns. If you keep seeing or hearing the same word, image, or message from different sources, that repetition is a sign. God often emphasizes things by repeating them. Write these patterns down. Keep a record. Over time they will form a map.

Third, notice where you feel deep peace. Not excitement or relief, but genuine peace. When you sense peace about a decision, even if it is scary, that peace is often the presence of God's confirmation. When you sense unease or dread, even if the option looks good on paper, something is wrong. Learn to trust that feeling.

What Happens When You Actually Start Listening

As you practice this, you begin to think differently. You start to see other people's situations with more compassion and clarity. You understand what someone really needs instead of just giving surface advice. You recognize what is actually causing someone's pain instead of treating the symptom.

This is what becoming like Jesus looks like in real life. He could tell a woman He had just met the entire truth about her life because He listened to God about her. He could feed five thousand people with one small lunch because He trusted God's guidance instead of His own panic about scarcity.

You do not have to be a pastor or a priest for this to matter. You do not have to be officially prophetic. You just need to learn to hear and then have the courage to say what you hear with love. Your friend in crisis needs this. Your struggling family member needs this. Your workplace needs people who can see clearly and speak truthfully.

Start Where You Are: Three Practical Next Steps

One: Find your secret place this week and spend fifteen minutes there with no phone, no distractions. Bring a real problem you are facing. Read one scripture about it. Then sit in silence and write down whatever comes to mind. Do not judge it. Just write.

Two: Keep a journal of moments when you felt peace about a decision or when a warning feeling turned out to be right. Start building evidence that you can actually hear guidance. Your own life story will become your teacher.

Three: When you sense God telling you something through scripture, a dream, a thought, or a feeling, say it out loud. Tell someone. Practice speaking what you are hearing. Start small, stay humble, and notice what happens. The more you speak what you sense, the clearer your signal becomes.

"God is not the problem. Your circumstances are so loud that you cannot hear Him speaking. Create quiet space and your confusion starts to clear."

- Pastor Ricardo Zaal

Key Takeaways

  1. Guidance Requires Quiet, Not Just Prayer Most people pray by talking. They ask God questions, then keep talking while waiting for an answer. Guidance lives in the spaces you do not fill with noise. Create a specific time and place where you stop talking and actually listen. Sit with your confusion instead of running from it. Read scripture not to prove yourself right but to hear what God wants you to know. When you learn to be still, patterns emerge that were invisible in the chaos. This is not about being spiritual. It is about how human attention actually works.
  2. Your Circumstances Are Not the Final Word Your bank account says one thing. Your relationship looks one way. Your health report reads like defeat. But God sees what you cannot see yet. He knows the end of your story. The guidance that matters most often contradicts what your circumstances are telling you right now. When someone in financial panic can prophesy abundance to another person, they are choosing to believe God's word over what they see. When someone in pain can offer genuine hope to others, they are listening to something deeper than their circumstances. This is the freedom that comes from learning to hear God beyond what feels true right now.
  3. Becoming Clear Also Changes How You Show Up for Others As you learn to hear guidance for yourself, you naturally become someone who can see and speak truth into other people's lives. You stop offering surface solutions because you learned to listen for the real problem. You stop reacting from fear because you learned to check for peace first. You become more like someone who actually helps instead of just offering advice. This is not a special gift given to a few. It is a skill that develops the same way any skill does: through practice, humility, and willingness to try and fail and try again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I am actually hearing guidance or just making things up?

Real guidance aligns with scripture. It brings peace, not anxiety or urgency. It leads you toward love, humility, and service to others, not toward pride or harm. It often comes with confirmation from multiple sources. And it stands the test of time. When you look back, it made sense. Keep a record of moments when you sensed guidance and track whether those impressions proved true. Your own history becomes proof.

What if I do not believe in this kind of spiritual guidance?

You do not have to use spiritual language to benefit from learning to listen to your intuition, your values, and the wisdom of people you trust. You can call it listening to your gut, getting clarity through reflection, or paying attention to what brings you peace. The mechanism is the same: you slow down, you create space, you notice patterns, and you pay attention to what resonates as true. Whether you call it God or call it wisdom, the practice works.

I feel like I should be hearing something dramatic, but I just get quiet thoughts or feelings. Is that really guidance?

Yes. Guidance rarely arrives as lightning or an audible voice. It usually shows up as a persistent thought, a feeling of peace or unease, a verse that won't leave you alone, or a symbol that keeps appearing. The Bible describes God speaking in a still, small voice. That means quiet. Pay more attention to what is subtle than to what is dramatic. The quieter you get, the more you will notice.

in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This morning I wanna tell you that some of the things that we say we do is most of the times, not the things that we do, but we tend to listen to what Satan is trying to do. So I want us to understand that even if we know some of the things we need to, just don't worry about what Satan says or what he does. So this morning we are going on with our prophetic training. So I wanna just give you a bit of a background on if you have not taken the time to go and listen to the previous message, please do go. Take some time and go through it. It might just help your life. But I wanna take the time and just go back to a few things. Just wanna go back to a few things that we said last week. So for those of you that have missed the last couple of weeks, let me do a quick recap for you, just to bring you up to speed. We began our series by learning that God wants us all to grow in knowing the voice and sharing his word. So which is the prophetic word that he's given to us, he wants us all to prophesy. So that is what he wants, that's number one. And we also talk about how God can speak to us in different ways. And as you know from the previous ways, is like one of the ways that he say, that he speak through is through the thoughts, sometimes through your feelings. Sometimes he even speak to you that is now through ideas that suddenly pop up in your head. And sometimes he speak through us, obviously through his word. Because the obvious part we sometimes must, which is the word of God. That is one of the things we also learn that prophecy is about listening to what God wants to say to encourage and help each other. That's what we talk about previously. And also last week we went in deeper and we explore how our hearts needs to be open and sensitive to God's whispers. As you know, that the prophet was running away from this lady and then went into a what we call a cave. So he went into a cave. And as he went into a cave, God spoke to him with a soft voice. So sometimes God whisper to us. We also call this having a prophetic heart. Because some of the things that you know, that even though you can do all these things, if you don't have a heart for you, it might be something that you doesn't want to be a part of. A prophetic heart means being aware of and also listening closely to God, what he's saying and share his word with love and hope to help others. So that is last week. And we also learned that God's heart is full of good plans for us. As he want to speak to us, life and hope to people around us. That is what we talked about last week. So today I will build up on this. So we will build up on the other section and building up on that by learning how to recognize even more that whisper of God. That soft thing that sometimes you don't understand. So how we can also stay connected in him. And then we also see that God often speaks in quiet ways through things like impressions and gentle nudges. So he love to share his secrets to us. You know that God really love to share some secrets to us. Some of the things, if you go to Jeremiah 33 verse three, let's go there. I just want to read Jeremiah 33 verse three for you. Jeremiah 33 verse three says that, call unto me. So there's some action to it. He said, call unto me and I will answer thee. So the first instruction is to call. And the second instruction, as he called in Jeremiah 33 verse three, and he answered, then he said, and I will show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. So what is it that you don't know? If it is that you don't know that God loves you, maybe you should call unto him. Maybe you should stop call unto him because through God's love, that it's a showing of some great insights from God. Some of the things that you might not know is that God wants to help you. God wants you to know. God doesn't want you to go into things that is unknowingly. But because of sometimes our hearts is so far from him, we tend to forget that he wants, he have a great plan for us. And therefore, this plan is to help us. But I wanna get into one of the things that you must know is that when you're on the road with God, the closer you walk with him, the easier it become to know what lies ahead of you because he knows that for some reason, maybe he says to you, look, one of these days something will happen at work and you need to prepare for it. There's a storm ahead of you, get your boat and your sails ready. So he wants you to know these things. But because of our hearts, we sometimes don't hear him. Because of our hearts, we sometimes don't hear him. So as I was saying to you previously, I wanna just go into a few things. And I also wanna, I wanna start with understanding. Number one is understanding the prophetic sensitivity. So to understand the prophetic sensitivity is like the sons of Issachar, they knew the times and seasons, but how did they know this? They can only know it by listening to God. So how do you know the times and seasons? That is for you to gain more of a perspective into God's speaking to you. So prophetic sensitivity, it means that being aware of what God is saying, even when he speaks quietly. What is quiet to you? The birth is not paid, God says, I don't worry. But the birth is sounding harder than God's not worrying, saying you don't need to be anxious about anything according to Peter. Is it Peter 5 or 7, I think? Let me just go there quickly. I think it's Peter 5 or 7. I mean, let's say first Peter 5 or 7, sorry. So according to first Peter 5 or 7, he says, cast all your cares upon him. He cared for you. So what is it that you are caring about? I would actually love to have the newer version. So it's first Peter 5 or 7. I actually just wanna go, I just wanna read it for you in the, this one doesn't wanna work. There's no first Peter here. Get me the bigger one in the room there. Yes, this one will even be better. So first Peter 5, verse 7. Now first Peter 5 or 7 says, casting the whole of your cares. So it means that all anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on him, for he cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. That is according to first Peter 5 or 7. So even though a lot of things happen, the sound that your circumstances is giving you, it gives us a problem that you can't hear God. Number one. Number two is that if I can say to you, the Bible says according to his riches in glory he has given. So to you, your circumstances tells you something, and you don't hear this verse in fact. So God is telling you something, but your circumstances is so loud in your ears that you can't hear him speaking. So it's like somebody leaning into you. I actually had such a funny time where Kyra wanted to say something to her father, and she was coming to his ears, trying to whisper in the ear, but she talked so loudly that everybody could hear, and she's like, I don't like that. And you're like, yes Kyra. That is not scannery. That's actually saying it out loud for everybody. So I was laughing at that, but that made me to realize this about prophetic sensitivity. It's that God is like she's speaking so loudly, but it's just that you can't hear because your own thoughts or things in your head. That's why. So understanding prophetic sensitivity is like when you go to first Chronicles, first Chronicles 12 verse 32. Now first Chronicles 12 verse 32, this is where the men of Issachar understand the times and knew what Israel should do. So these men knew when God was about to do something, they listened closely to God and could tell that what was going to happen next. We can ask God to help us to listen this way too. So understanding the prophetic sensitivity, that's number one. I want to let you know that I wanted to use the in-depth one for next week, but I'm also, I'm going to include that as well. We call it the prophetic codes. Now what is a prophetic code? A prophetic code is sometimes things that happen that makes you to listen to God easier. But let me get to that one afterwards. Let me not use that one now. I'll just use it afterwards. Then number two is God also want to show his good plans to you. That is why he's telling you to prophesy. So how do you prophesy? He's prophesying the plans that he have for others. Sometimes the plans that he have for you, so you have to prophesy to yourself as well. So when we listen with our hearts, God will show us his good plans. Like how he cares for you, like this one which we were talking about in 1 Peter 5 or 7, which is casting the whole of your cares on him. So some of these plans he wants you to know. So how do you prophesy? In fact, one of the codes is actually the word of God. I might just give you that one so long in the meantime. So prophetic codes is what his word says about you. Because some of the times whenever you go through a lot of things, you don't need to go and seek for a prophet. You just need to go back to his word and ask about this situation. What is it in the word? And this you can find how God wanna show his good plans to you. You can find it in Jeremiah 29, verse 11. For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans for good and not for disaster. To give you a future and a hope. So this is what we say because this is a Godly, amazing plan for you. So we just need to listen. This is what we call the prophetic now. Is to listen and to take his word or to take him by his word. And sometimes how we can get the prophetic word is to learning to go to a secret place. Now what is a secret place? What is a secret place? A secret place, you know what I'm talking about Nessian when I talk about the secret place. You know what I'm talking about when I talk about the secret place. It's a place that nobody knows. It's like hiding your phone in a secret place so that nobody can get it. That's when you talk about secret place. Now, a secret place is also a place. No, let's rather go to Psalm 91. Let's rather go to Psalm 91. In Psalm 91, and I'm going to just read two verses one and two. It's a well-known scripture that a lot of people know but they don't know the depths of the scripture. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high. Did you hear that? He says, he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty and I will say to the Lord he is my refuge and my fortress, my God in him will I trust. He that dwelleth in the secret place. So what is your secret place? Sometimes we want to call it a place where only you and God have communion. Only you and God have a conversion or conversation. Only when you and God have a time together. That is when you spend time with God and you spend time with God alone. Not you are here with God but your mind is on other things so you spend time with him. That is when he speaks the most. It's when you are in your quiet time with him. So he speak to us where he'll show you these secrets. The things that you did not know according to Jeremiah 33 verse three. Things that you didn't know. So being prophetic is taking that time to know where is your secret place. And I love the new set up at our house that we can say Laverne moved into a room where she can now have her own special place where she can take time and speak to God on her own because that can be her little secret place. Telling God you know there's this old man like she called me. This old man has made me so angry that I just want to kill him so she can speak to him instead of telling me straight hey, you make me so angry, can you? So that is the secret place because he really wants to speak to us. So I also want to help you. Getting prophetic is also becoming more like Jesus. Now, why do you want to become more like Jesus? So as we listen to God, we start to think and act more like Jesus because the more you hear, you remember he said that the Bible actually said in John so that we become one. So if he's one, like me and you, my father, we are one. So the more you become one with Jesus, that's the more that you can easily speak to God. So we start to think and act like Jesus so he make our hearts loving and helping. So we want to help others. We want to take the love that we have for others more like Jesus. If you go to Corinthians, second Corinthians in fact, second Corinthians three verse 18. Second Corinthians three verse 18 says as following. And I'm not reading the whole thing. I just read a few out of it. We all are being transformed into his image. We are all being transformed into his image. So being more like Jesus, it's like having the image of him. Nel sues mei heises, Nel sues mei heilam, se rein en heilig, se zag en nederig. Nel sues mei heises, yes. So when we hear God's voice and follow him, he makes us more like Jesus. He's being more like Jesus, being in the image of God. And if you can be like Jesus, you will come to a point where you are going to fetch water, but in the process of going to fetch water, you can speak to a lady and tell her that even the fifth one you are with is even not yours. Imagine the woman at the well, Nel. Jesus said to that woman, hey, I know this man and this one and that one and the other, but even that one is not yours. So you can become like Jesus He can prophesy in depth into somebody, telling the person where the person is loving and what is the person doing. So that getting into that prophetically, getting into prophetically. Some of us might be saying, but what is it that you, why do you want to be like Jesus? Because Jesus is the one that is, He actually died for us on the cross of Calvary. So why do I want to die for anybody else? Because when you die for others, you live a more fulfilled life. Do things for other servant would, to be a servant like Jesus. So number five. Okay, I want to just make sure we together, Nel. So number one, I said understanding prophetic sensitivity that by hearing with your heart, Nel, that's prophetic sensitivity. Number two is how God can show you His plans through the prophetic, He can show you His plans. Number three, He says, learning also in the secret place. Like having a secret place is where God can prophetically speak to you in a secret place where you spend time with Him. And number four, I said, becoming more like Jesus. So the more in depth prophetically you become, the more you become like Jesus who can say to somebody, give me your lunch box. Give me your scaphtin, scaphtin. In South Africa, we call it scaphtin. That light is a scaphtin that that He wants to show you. Give me that scaphtin, with a first and a broad. And it becomes food for 5,000 people. So He took the boys, lunched them and fed 5,000 people. So you can become like Jesus, knowing that if I can take this bread and thank God, it will multiply. That's becoming like Jesus. Then also I wanna give you another one, which is the prophetic will give you a wisdom in uncertain times. Prophetic will give you wisdom in uncertain times. Now, wisdom in uncertain times is like when Solomon asked God for wisdom. Because he was supposed to say, if you know Solomon, Solomon had about how many wives or concubines or whatever, about 3,000 women, I think. I can't remember, but he had a lot of women. So imagine somebody that had so much women and God asked you to ask for something. Instead of asking for, God give me 5,000 women or 500,000 women, He asked for wisdom. So instead of asking for something, He rather ask for wisdom. So God will give you wisdom in uncertain times. Wisdom. Because what He asked for wasn't for Himself. He asked God, give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people. So He asked for a discerning heart to govern the people. And imagine, in my mind, I can tell you now, it's tough to be a leader to people. You can lead sheep easily. Sheep, like a sheep you just take, what was that? Sambok. You just take like something quack and then you gather them together and they will follow you. But do that to human beings. The moment you take Sambok, they start rebelling. So asking God to discern the people, that was something awesome. Because therefore prophetic will help you to discern what you ought to do in a certain time. Instead of you asking God, maybe somebody says to you, oh, life is so hard, you know, God is no longer with me. Prophetic will help you to see in depth into where the hardship come from. Maybe it was because of the person is in a abusive relationship and that abusive relationship made them to feel awkward about themselves and therefore now God is then telling them, hey, don't worry, don't pray for a hard life to get it better. Pray for that partner to be removed or having a change of heart. That is the wisdom in uncertain times. Sometimes we might not know what to do, but we always know that God will know what to do. So even if the storms is, it's dark in a stormy time of your life and everything is just so dark that you can't see where you're heading, God might just say, just tilt your sails to the north or the west or the east or south. And the moment you tilt the sails, the wind will then blow you out of the storm. So that is the wisdom that he gives in certain times. That's number five. I wanna also help you with a few things. So tuning into God's voice is like, it's like when you listen with your heart, the importance of developing a heart that is sensitive to God's voice is exploring how to listen. Because when you can explore how to listen, it can bring comfort. It can bring direction. It can bring peace. So tuning into God's voice brings comfort, brings direction, and it brings peace. But you also need to understand, number one, you need to understand how God speaks. Because for some, God is like a rod. I mean, it's like this God with a rod. Anytime you do something wrong, he hits you. That is what some people think of him. They just think that anytime I make a mistake, God will hit me with the rod. To you, it's not the how to understand God. So understand how God speaks. So exploring the different way God speaks through us is just go through the scriptures, use his word. Number two, sometimes it's an inner impression upon you. You just feel like telling somebody something and that makes a whole lot of a difference. Sometimes it's just encouraging, encouraging somebody. That's how God sometimes speaks. But sometimes it's even in the stillness. Did you ever hear somebody say that? Not giving an answer is also an answer. Are you angry? You don't say a word. That already means, I'm beyond angry. I'm not even going to answer you. That is being quiet, not saying anything. So it's for you to figure out in the stillness, where does it go? But I also want to let you know that understanding how God speaks, it has to do with listening, number two. So why do you wanna listen? Why is it that listening matters also most? Some people have a tendency of praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, praying. And they keep on praying, keep on praying, keep on praying. And you are asking yourself, but isn't it that the prayer that you pray is also expecting you to stop and start listening? Is God answering you or not? So why listening matters? It's emphasize how listening to God can bring clarity. It can strengthen also your faith, and it can help us to respond to others with compassion. You know why listening matters, huh? Listening matters to understand somebody else's point of view when you listen to them. So it's better to listen to God to understand his point of view. And that will makes it better for you. So tuning in God's voice sometimes is also about removing these distractions. How do you remove distractions? How do you remove distractions? How do you remove distractions? No, let me use this one. Let me use this one. How do you remove distractions? Restore the joy of life's salvation. Let your willing spirit please uphold me. Lord, I sacrifice humble heart, show your mercy. Show your mercy, Lord, show your mercy, show. I love this song so much. I mean, Matthew 5 verse 8, sorry, says blessed are the pure in heart. So how do you remove distractions? It's by purifying your heart. Purifying your heart. You know how do you purify your heart? Sometimes the things that you have, let me make an example. Have you ever heard the prayer that some people pray? They say, back to sender. Now this guy was a witchcraft. So this guy was using witchcraft on you. And the first thing you say is back to sender. In the name of Jesus, back to sender. Now my question to you is, why would you wanna say back to sender when the Bible clearly says, pray for those who persecute you? Why? Pray for those who persecute you. Let me go to Matthew 5 verse 44 for you. Matthew 5, I wanna read Matthew 5. It says, Matthew 5 verse 44, but I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who is despitefully use and persecute you. I think some of us need to take this scripture and dissect it. Like take it, biki biki. But I say to you, love your enemies. What does love does to somebody? They can be so angry at you that they wanna kill you, but if you show love to them, it helps you. There's a, the amplified version says it so nicely. It says, but I say to you, love. That is unselfishly seek the best or higher good for. So I said, love your enemies and pray for those. You see? So when the amplified Bible says it, it says, pray for those who persecute you. So how do you remove destruction? When they start coming in like a flood, God raises standard. So the distractions that is in your life is teaching us sometimes how to be quiet. So quieting your mind, quieting your circumstances to be able to listen to God. Because remember, sometimes prophecy is not about you, but it's about somebody else. So if your own circumstances tell you that my bank account says minus 500, but you now need to prophesy to somebody to become a millionaire, it remove that distraction of your bank account being in a minus 500. And you still say, God says that you will become a billionaire. That's number three. So I said, tuning into God's voice is understanding how God speaks. It's about listening, and then it's removing the distraction. And number four, it's loving with a heart that wants to listen. Like my mom used to say, my mom used to say that the heart is the worst muti you can find. If somebody have something against you in their heart, you can do whatever, they will curse you like nobody's business, and the strong curse that they use might kill you. So listening with your heart to have a heart of a loving heart. 80 heart, but the heart from follows, love you more than will. So meaning to say that whenever you speak, you speak the thing that is in your heart. So whenever you speak something wrongly, know that your heart is wrong. So loving with a heart that can listen. And number five, that makes you to tune into God's voice is practice and practice and practice. Practice to not just hear, but also to respond as well. Practice, practice, practice. So you need to practice even more. How do you practice? I just got this something in my heart to say to you something. Say it to the person. Just have a word now. And then suddenly the word says, but I say unto you, love your enemies. This guy is fighting me. And you say, hey, me bro, with the love of God, forgive me. The moment you say, with the love of God, forgive me, the person can't fight you because already just by saying something that God prompt you to say, you practice it. Now let me go into a deeper, you call it a prophetic things that, some of the things that I can say to you that does not make sense to somebody. How come, how come this one have a, how come this one have a nice way of, doing things. So let me go into a deeper prophetic. Some of these teaching I gave you was just for a teaching that helps somebody that has never known or doesn't know about prophetic, or has never knew that God wants them to prophesy. So now I'm going to go into in depth prophetic. You call it in depth prophetic. So when we talk about in depth prophetic, there's certain things that you need to understand that it makes things easier for somebody to prophesy. We call them prophetic codes. Now what is a prophetic code? A prophetic code are essentially methods or keys that can help believers tune into the prophetic more easily. It helps them to tune into the prophetic more easily. Now some of the codes you might think that for some it's easier to prophesy and for some it's hard to prophesy. And for some it's hard. It's not that it's hard or it's easier. It's just that some people make use of the tools. They make use of the tools that has been given to them to prophesy. Now the tools that has been given to make you, that you make use of, I want to start with the one that I already mentioned earlier on. The number one code I can use, although I've mentioned it here as a different number, but I want to make it number one. The number one prophetic code that people use is the code of standing in agreement with scripture. So that is the word of God. That's a prophetic code that you should know. Now when somebody talk about which scripture I can use now, I'm trying to use the scripture. Which one I can use? This one is good. You go to John, not the big John, the small John. 3 John, 3 John, 3 John verse two. There's a prophetic word that has been given. I want to make an example of this one. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosper. So this is a prophetic word that is given out to you to give you prosperity. And this is something that most prosperity gospel people use. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosper. So this is a standing in agreement prophetic word. You want money, how's your soul? Is your soul sharp? So you want the money too. When your soul is sharp, money is sharp. So I want to make a reference to this there. According to 2 Peter, according to 2 Peter, and I want to read 1 verse 21. 2 Peter 1 verse 21. For prophecy came not in old time by the will of men, but by holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Prophecy, for prophecy came not in old time by the will of men, but by holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of men. So a prophetic word does not come by the will of men. It comes from the Holy Spirit. So true prophecy aligns with scripture. So when somebody prophesied to you and it doesn't align with scripture, you might as well just try and, and how do you say, ask God first before you accept it because it needs to be in the will of God. So true prophecy align with scripture, the Holy Spirit will never contradict God's word. So comparing that you sense a prophetic, maybe somebody says to you, I sense something that God is telling me that I must tell you something like this. And you now do like the Bible say, take this word, but also not taking it lightly. So comparing that your sense prophetically with scripture to ensure and truly, that it's truly from God, this code acts as a safeguard. That's the first quote of prophetic man. As it might prosper, as your soul prosper. So what else in your life is not prospering, then check your soul. So God is saying, if your soul is sharp, it means the rest will be sharp. So why is it that most people have it all day? Then you must know that their soul have it all day. That's a prophetic word for you today. So get your soul in order or intact. Then I'm going to the second one, the code of visions and dreams. The code of visions and dreams. And in the beginning of the training, I told you already that according to the Bible, in Acts 2 verse 17, it says that in the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all people. So your sons and daughter will prophesy, your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams. So this is a code of prophecy. So this prophetic code, it helps you to actually get into a place where you now need to, every time when there's a dream that you get into, you need to write it down just so that you might not forget it. I mean, if you're looking at it now, just for an example, God spoke to this guy, what's his name again? The guy that was put in the pot, guy with many cloaks or many, the coat with many colors, heaven. Why I can't get that guy's name? The guy dreamt that his brother, Joseph, Joseph, there's a guy's name. The guy dreamt that his brothers will bow before him. So he in his, do you call it, not knowing the prophetic dreams, telling them that they will bow before him, got him in so much trouble. Imagine that they threw him in a pot. And just as they were about to throw him in the pot, something happened, they start looking at money. They said, imagine this guy, we can get money more for you. So instead of leaving him in the pot, they take him out and sold him. Not knowing that the prophetic dream that went out was actually the one that were protecting him to go, so the coat of visions and dreams, it's helping others through their dreams, they can prophesy to you. Somebody dreaming of, look, there's a problem, I see that you've been drinking too much. And then you're like, Yemen, I have not been drinking. But suddenly some day you find yourself that life becomes so hard that you start using the hardship and start taking a bit of the edge and start drinking. And then you realize, oh, is this what the person was talking about? So that's the coat of vision and dreams. But then there's another one, number three, which Jesus used a lot. You know, Jesus was one of the greatest prophetic people that love on the earth, that even up till today, their prophetic words are still happening. And this one is what they use is parables, we use most of the time, parables and symbols. According to Matthew 13, verse 34, you must forgive me, I have to sit down there. The legs doesn't matter, do it today. But I'll be finished just now. So Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables. He did not say anything to them without using a parable. He did not say anything to them without using a parable. So just as Jesus often taught us in parables, so the prophetic message sometimes can come through symbols or metaphors. If you're looking at them, there's certain things in the prophetic that makes more sense when you're, like, what can I use? Okay, let me use water now. Water can be a parable for cleansing. So if somebody says to you, I heard the Bible, I mean, I heard that God is telling me to tell you that you are going through water. Now it's a prophetic word that you might not understand if you don't understand the significance of water. You see, because the significance of water helps you to understand the prophetic better. The more you read the Bible, you will see more of these parables and symbols and metaphors that get used. Like for argument's sake, if you're looking at it now, the Holy Spirit sometimes can be seen as fire as well. At the same time, the Holy Spirit can be seen as water as well. So you need to now know the differences. So that is a code of prophetic that will make prophecy easier for you. But this is something that is in depth that somebody needs to know why is it easier for somebody to prophesy than this person use parables. This is parables. Now, I have the opinion that certain things, especially if you go to the newer platforms now, like for argument's sake, TikTok for argument's sake. If you go to TikTok, some of the people can do a prophetic word for you in a platform where there's a lot of people that doesn't even know you. And then they don't want to speak to you harshly. So they use prophetic code, this parable prophetic code. And because of the parable prophetic code, when they say something, it helps you to understand better because you know what they mean even though they speak in parables. So this is the prophetic code of parables. So you need to sometimes know how to dissect a parable, how to dissect this prophetic code. Like for argument's sake, if somebody says to you, wow, I saw in the vision, your cup ran it over. Then now you need to use that parable according to the scripture. So number one, it's a dreams and vision code. It's a scripture code, the code of scripture, the code of vision and dreams. Then at the same time, it's a code of parables. So when the prophetic word comes out, I saw your cup ran it over. You now need to dissect it and say, wow. So it means that it will be well with me according to, is it Psalm 23? My cup ran it over. I'm using this thing now, I can't find the scripture. It's Psalm 23 that my cup ran it over. Yeah, Psalm 23. So do you see there, the three prophetic codes were used in one. So it makes it easy for somebody to understand the prophetic by using these codes. And there's so many codes that I can give to you, but I don't wanna bore you with a lot of codes, but I want you to know there is tools that you can use to go into what the Bible says that you need to desire the prophecy. I mean, you need to desire to be prophesied. So I use that one. Then I use another code, which is called the code of repetition. Now a code of repetition comes in where you can go to Genesis 41 verse 32. Now Genesis 41 verse 32 says like this, and the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God and God will shortly bring it to pass. There is a, so repeatedly Pharaoh heard this thing is going to come to pass. So that is the code of repetition. So repeatedly you heard somebody says to you, you a prophet times one, then another one says to you, you a prophet times two, then another one says to you, you a prophet times three, and then if it's confirmed by three, it's confirmed. Now you like, ah, you're, wow. That means I'm prophetic. So this is repetition that gets you to get to your, your, the thing that is prophetic here. And this, this happened especially when God wants to emphasize a message. He, he wanna make sure that you don't lose it. If I can say that way. He often repeated as he did with Pharaoh's dream, but even with the prophetic visions that, that came to, what's this prophet's name again? The guy that says dry bones rice, Ezekiel. It came to Ezekiel as well. So sometimes you just see, maybe, maybe you just close your eyes and, and suddenly you see a vision of a dove. And you, you close your eyes and you think, what was that now? And you open your eyes, but you don't see the dove. And you think, ah, it's just something. Then the next time you're just about to fall asleep and then suddenly there's a dove and you open your eyes and you're like, ah, but there's not a dove. And then for some reason you were going somewhere and then it's like something just hit your eye and you just close your eye for a second because you didn't want that thing to go into your eye and you see a dove. And now you're saying to yourself, but God, three times I've seen this dove. What does it mean? If you take it into the prophetic code by using parables, it might be the same like the Holy Spirit came upon like a dove. You see, so there's a scripture code, the, I mean, the code of scripture that comes into place, the code of parable that comes into place and then the code of vision that comes because it was just a split second of a vision. So at the same time, it's a code of repetition because it came in three times. The code of repetition, God is trying to tell you that you need to be aware that the Holy Ghost is in your life, it's evident in your life. This is repetition. But do you know one of the things that, one other code there that even made that guy soul. What's the guy that, yeah, it's the guy. There's a guy that, yeah, but it's soul. What happened is that anytime whenever a demon comes upon soul, David came to play and the demon was not there anymore. So sometimes there's a prophetic code in music. There's a song, there's a specific song that anytime whenever somebody sing or play the song, there's such a prophetic action that comes upon me that I start prophesying to people without even noticing it, but it's the music that makes me to be more prophetic. That one is the song that came up most of the time and most of the time it opened up my prophetic. This code of music. That they came up. Yaka kawena. Oh, Tuaneti. Kitori so. So anytime when somebody sings this song, it's like it's stirring up something within me. And that is the code of prophetic. I even have it in my notes. I didn't even check. I didn't realize it. Yes, let me go to second Kings. What did I say? Oh, yeah, second Kings. If I go to second Kings now, and second King three verse 15. Second King three verse 15. Oh, let me start by 14. And Elisha said, as the Lord of hosts, David, before whom I stand, surely were not that I regarded the presence of Jehoshaphat the King of Judah. I would not look toward thee nor see thee, but now bring me a menstrual. And it came to pass when the menstrual plate that the hand of the Lord came upon him. The menstrual plate that the hand of the Lord came upon him. So anytime whenever somebody's played the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the instrument, anytime somebody play the instrument, the hand of the Lord come upon him. Ta-tay, oh, toilet seat, hit-o. Ta-tay, ne-a-ga, hit-o. When the song comes up, it stirs myself. It's the code of music. The code of music. I mean, if you picture, picture this, ne. When I, I don't know, I don't know much, ne. Ta-tay, ne-a-ga, hit-o. Ta-tay, ne-a-ga, hit-o. Hit-o, hit-o, hit-o. It's the thing that makes, it's a tool, if I can say it that way, that makes it easier. The hand of the Lord come upon him. So music have a powerful effect on the prophetic realm. It has a powerful, let me take you to another, to another code. I sense the presence of God so strongly. I'm not going to, I'm not going to do the prophetic thing. I'm here to teach and I live it. Next week we might be going into, I'm saying might. Number five, prophetic code number five. Remember there's a lot more codes, but I'm not going to get into that because I don't want to give you food that is too harsh for your spirit. I'm trying to keep it at a basic level, just so that you can understand the basic of prophetic. But one of these days I will go in depth with prophetic training. The number five is a code of peace and inner witness. This is according to Colossians 3 verse 15. Colossians 3 verse 15 says, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. So this peace can be a prophetic code because when God speaks, there's often a deep sense of peace. You feel at peace. You feel at, like, you feel at age. This thing is for me. This is for me. So that is peace. It's like, you don't have to go any further. I know this is for me. That is the prophetic code of peace. A prophetic word that feels unsettling or that is something that it's not worth bringing it to God. You rather need to pray if it feels unsettling to you. Maybe it doesn't resonate with you. Then it feels unease. That one you must know that you need to go and pray and ask God, hey, this one, it doesn't make sense. Therefore you need to now seek God's wisdom and seek his counsel. That is why I'm saying this one, when you use this prophetic code, it brings peace. There's no rushing or beating of heart that goes quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. Like, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop. No, it puts your heart beat in unison with. That's it. That's the prophetic code, number five. And I think, let me leave it at this now. Or maybe, let me just go one more now. I see we are already over time. But I'm just going to run quickly. I think I'll just read it from my notes. I'm not going to explain it in depth. But there's practical ways that you can use this codes that I've just given to you. Or must I just quickly give you the codes again? Just so that you can have it. Number one, I said it's the code of agreement with the scripture, that's number one. I said number two is the, so it's agreement of the scripture, code number one. Code number two is the code of visions and dreams. Number two, that's two. Number three is the code of parables and symbols. That's number three. Number four is the code of repetition. That's number four. Then number five is the code of music. That's what I said, code of music. Number five. And then number six, I said the code of peace and inner witness, that is number six. But all these codes, it's no use if you don't know how to use it. So I'm just going to give you from my notes. I'm not going to explain it in depth. I'm just going to use it quickly from my notes. Number one, to use the practical, I mean the practical use of these codes is to pray and prepare. So before practicing the prophetic, start with the prayer, start with worship, reading the scripture and to help you to be in tune with God's word, I mean with God's spirit. That's number one. Number two is observe the patterns and the symbols. Now sometimes it's very important to, when we're talking about patterns and symbols, it's very important to, if you see the dove the second time, to start maybe making drawings of what you've seen. And that will help you to keep a journal of this vision, dreams, impressions, and scriptures that stands out. Because sometimes the scripture that stands out, you need to do that. Then number three, I said pray and prepare. Number two is observe patterns and symbols. You need to keep a journal of that. And number three is incorporate worship music. So spending time in worship, maybe allowing music to create a receptive atmosphere. I don't know if you ever, when you go to a prophetic church, hear that the prophet will always ask, play this song for me. Or tell, no, don't let the music stop. Keep on playing the music. You see? So that's incorporating worship music. Then number four is to see confirmation and alignment. So to use this prophetic quotes is to see confirmation and alignment. So compare any prophetic impressions or scriptures, I mean impressions with scriptures, and seek confirmation from mature believers, like somebody who has been in the prophetic. Ask them, is this what it means? And number five, which is the last one, and I'm going to leave it at this, is practice regular quotes, like practice these quotes and see if it makes sense. Like you need to literally, if I can call it step out in faith to practice these quotes. But always remember something, that these prophetic quotes is symbols of, I mean, it's tools that help you. But if you're not humble enough, maybe you start prophesying now, and humility is not a part of the prophetic, and you start becoming cocky, it might give you a problem. So even if you practice, practice humbly. Not, no, I can't. No, I'm this prophetic warawara. So step out in faith, but do it in humility. And also at the same time, whenever you practice, practice it so much, knowing that you don't know everything as yet, practice with it in a sense of being teachable so that others can teach you as well. That's how you need to practice. But always practice with encouraging words to others. Encourage others through your practicing, not to break them down, because once God has given you a scripture, and it's not encouraging, just know that you might not be able to handle it as yet, because some of the times when God give us a prophetic word to tell somebody to get out of their sin, we know how to say it when you are deep in prophetic. But when you learn to just do it, and you're not deep into prophetic, the problem will be that you might hurt somebody. So don't go in depth as yet, Heavenly Father. I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and I humbly ask you that as we go into the prophetic, let our prophetic not be to boast in ourselves, but to boast in you that every word starts with the will of God. In the mighty name of Jesus, anybody that is under the sound of my voice, let that prophetic be so vivid, let that prophetic be so clear, let everything they speak or say or do that is prophetically, let that be something that encourage others in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. And anybody that knows that whenever they go into prophetic, they will get some sort of people that will stand up against them. But we know that a prophet is not known in their own hometown. So therefore, in the mighty name of Jesus, anybody that is prophetic, let them go out and explore the prophetic with you. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray, amen and amen. Now with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide with us all until Jesus comes. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever in Jesus' mighty name, we pray, amen and amen. Amen.
