How do I actually forgive someone who never said sorry?
Pretoria North · 16 August 2026

That is the hard one. Not the person who apologised and meant it. The one who moved on like nothing happened, maybe even thriving while you are still carrying it. Forgiveness without an apology feels like losing twice. But here is what the Bible actually teaches about how forgiveness works, and it changes things.
"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
- Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
Today, write the person's name on a piece of paper. Say out loud, just once, 'I release this to God. It is His to deal with, not mine to carry.' You do not have to feel it yet. Do the action. Forgiveness often starts as a decision before it becomes a feeling.
Father, I cannot fix what they did or make them sorry. But I do not want to carry this anymore. I hand it to You today. Forgive me the way I want to forgive them. Amen.
