How do I stop loneliness from convincing me nobody cares? - Fountain of Grace International

Loneliness tells lies. It whispers that you have been forgotten, that you are too much trouble, that the silence means something dark. Elijah was a prophet who had just done something remarkable, and then he collapsed under a tree and wanted to die. Not because he was weak. Because he was human, and exhausted, and alone. God did not send a sermon. He sent food and a touch. That is what God says into loneliness.

"And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat."

- 1 Kings 19:5 (KJV)

Today, before tonight, do this one thing. Think of one person you have not heard from in a while, maybe two weeks, maybe two months. Send them a voice note, not a text. Fifteen seconds. Just say you thought of them. That small move breaks the lie in two directions at once, theirs and yours.

Lord, when loneliness gets loud, remind me that you have never once forgotten where I am. Touch me the way you touched Elijah. Give me what I need for today. Amen.
