How do I stop waiting until I feel ready to start?
Pretoria North · 3 June 2026

"(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"
- 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
You know exactly what I am talking about, don't you. The thing that is not quite perfect yet. The one that will be ready next month. Or the month after that.
Eight months is long enough to know the truth. It is not ready because you are protecting yourself from the moment someone says no. Almost-ready is safe. It cannot fail because it never actually tries. You stay the person with potential instead of becoming the person with a record.
But here is what I have learned. Faith is not hope that things will work out. Faith is moving while you are still afraid. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." The thing does not need to be perfect. It needs to be real. And real things are always rough around the edges at first.
Stop waiting for ready. Ready is a lie you tell yourself so you never have to know what you are actually made of.
What would you do this week if you knew failure was survivable?
