Can I be honest with God when I'm angry?

You are sitting in the car, engine off, not ready to go inside yet. Something happened today and it left a mark. You know you should pray, but every word that comes up feels too raw, too sharp, too honest to say out loud. So you say nothing. David said the sharp thing. He wrote his anger into the psalms and handed it straight to God, unpolished, unfiltered. And God kept listening. He still does:

"Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah."

- Psalm 62:8 (KJV)

Tonight, before you close your eyes, say the one thing you have been swallowing. Not a prayer that sounds good. Just the real sentence. You can sit in the car, or the bathroom, or the dark. One honest line to God is worth more than ten careful ones.
