Why can't I stop thinking about someone who hurt me?

Why can't I stop thinking about someone who hurt me? - Fountain of Grace International

It is 11 o'clock at night and you are staring at the ceiling again. The same face. The same conversation. You have gone over it a hundred times and you are exhausted by your own mind. You do not want to be here. But you cannot seem to get out. That is not weakness. That is what a real wound does. Jesus said this to people carrying exactly that kind of weight:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

- Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

Before you put your phone down tonight, say these words out loud, even if your voice shakes: 'Jesus, I am tired of carrying this person in my head. I am giving it to you right now.' You do not have to feel better immediately. Just say it. Mean it. Let him take the first shift.

What would it feel like to go through just one hour today without replaying that memory?

Jesus, my mind will not rest and I am worn out. I am coming to you tonight with all of it, every replay, every hurt. Take this from me and give me rest. Amen.
