Why do I keep avoiding a difficult conversation I need to have?
Pretoria North · 21 May 2026

"For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known."
- Luke 12:2 (KJV)
There’s a call you haven’t returned, isn’t there? It looms larger with each passing day, but there it sits - unanswered. You’ve built up a fortress of distractions all around you. Too busy, you tell yourself. Too tired. Yet, deep down, you know the truth.
What you’re really avoiding isn’t the call itself. It’s the conversation that follows. The vulnerability of admitting you don’t have it all together. There’s fear beneath that avoidance - fear of being seen for who you truly are, with all your scars and struggles. But truth be told, it's not the judgment of others you fear the most. It’s your own.
Consider this: “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed.” (Luke 12:2) What if this isn’t about exposure, but revelation? What if the conversation you avoid could be the key to release? Not condemnation, but a chance to be understood, forgiven, and even restored.
The call is about more than reconnecting. It’s about reclaiming your courage. Ask yourself, what would happen if you chose honesty over hiding?
