Why do I keep talking about my goals but never actually start?
Pretoria North · 7 June 2026

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."
- James 2:17 (KJV)
You have told the story so many times now that you have started to believe you actually did it.
The telling has become the substitute. Three coffees with three different people, each time refining your pitch, each time feeling the small hit of validation when they said it was a good idea. That felt like progress. Your brain rewarded you for the conversation the way it would reward you for the work. Except you did not do the work.
Here is what you need to know. Speaking about a thing is not faith. It is the opposite. Real faith does the thing alone, with no audience, when it is awkward and small and nobody knows. "Faith without works is dead, being alone." Not faith without an audience. Faith without works.
Stop telling people. Start today. Alone. One hour. The discomfort you feel right now is not a sign to talk more. It is a sign to finally move.
