Why does it feel like God has forgotten about me?
Pretoria North · 6 August 2026

You prayed. You waited. You prayed again. And still nothing has moved. The silence is not just uncomfortable, it starts to feel personal, like maybe you slipped through the cracks, like maybe God is busy with someone whose problems are bigger than yours. That feeling is real, and it is one of the oldest aches a human heart carries. But hear what God says into that exact moment.
"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."
- Isaiah 49:15-16 (KJV)
Sometime today, write your name on the palm of your hand. Let it stay there. Every time you see it, let it remind you of one thing: God says your name is already written on His. That is not a symbol. That is His word.
Lord, the silence has been hard and I will not pretend otherwise. But I choose to believe Your word over my feelings today. Thank You that my name is written on Your hands. Hold me there. Amen.
