Why does it feel like I have nothing to be thankful for?
Pretoria North · 9 July 2026

Some mornings you wake up and the weight of everything you still need, still owe, still haven't sorted, sits right there on your chest. You are not ungrateful. You are just tired. And when you are tired, it is easy to stop seeing what is already in your hands. God knows that. He built a reminder right into the Psalms because forgetting is something every honest person does.
"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:"
- Psalm 103:2 (KJV)
Before you get to work today, name three things quietly, out loud or in your head, that were there when you woke up. Not big things. Breath. A bed. One person who knows your name. Let that be your starting point.
What is one thing God gave you that you have been looking right past?
Lord, open my eyes today to what You have already placed in my life. I do not want to miss it. Teach me to see Your goodness even in the ordinary moments. Amen.
