Why do I wake up scared at 3am?

3am has a way of making everything louder. The bill you cannot pay. The conversation that went wrong. The thing you cannot fix. You lie there and the ceiling gives you nothing back. But there is a peace that walks into that room with you, one that does not need you to figure anything out first. This is what God says into the quiet:

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

- Philippians 4:7 (KJV)

Before you put your phone down tonight, say one sentence out loud, even in a whisper: 'God, I hand you the 3am.' That is enough. Put the phone face-down. You do not have to solve a thing before morning.
