Why does my brain keep running even when I am exhausted?
Pretoria North · 20 August 2026

It is 11 at night and your body is done but your mind is still going. Replaying tomorrow's meeting. Running the numbers again. Asking the same question for the hundredth time without getting any closer to an answer. That spinning is not weakness and it is not a lack of faith. It is what a tired human being feels when the world asks too much. God knows exactly where you are sitting right now, and He has something to say into it.
"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
Before you put your phone down tonight, say this out loud, even in a whisper: "God, I give you tomorrow." Not a long prayer. Just that one sentence. Then put the phone face-down and let Him hold what you handed over.
Father, my mind will not stop and I am tired. I cannot think my way to peace, so I am asking You for the kind that only You can give. Keep my heart and my mind tonight. Amen.
