Will my whole life end up meaning something?
Pretoria North · 2 September 2026

You are at Wednesday of an ordinary week. Maybe the years feel like a pile of small moments that never quite added up to the big thing you imagined. That is a real ache, and you are not the only one who has sat with it. But pull back for a second and look at the whole picture, not just today. God has been working in your life longer than you have been watching, and He does not waste a single year. Listen to what He says about a whole life given to Him:
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."
- Psalm 37:3-5 (KJV)
Think of one moment from the last five years where God came through, even quietly. Tell someone about it today, your spouse, a friend, a colleague on lunch break. Saying it out loud makes the faithfulness real again and lifts your eyes off the stuck feeling.
Lord, I trust You with the whole of my life, not just today. Thank You that You have been faithful in years I barely noticed. Bring it to pass, every good thing You have planted in me. Amen.
