Do the small quiet things I do for my family even matter?

The lunchbox packed at 6am. The argument you let go of so the evening stayed calm. Nobody clapped. Maybe you swallowed your own tired so someone else could feel steadier, and you might wonder if any of it even registered. It can feel like the small things dissolve the moment you do them, like they leave no mark. But God does not measure a life the way we do, and he has something to say about the work of ordinary hands.

"And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it."

Before tonight ends, name one small thing you did for your family this week, something you nearly dismissed as nothing. Say it out loud or write it down. Then thank God for it. Let him tell you it counted.

Lord, take the small and imperfect things I have done and make them last. Let your goodness run through this home long after I am gone. I trust you with all of it. Amen.
