Will the small things I did for my family actually matter in the end?
Pretoria North · 29 July 2026

Maybe you made mistakes this week. Maybe you also loved well in small, quiet ways that nobody noticed or thanked you for. The packed lunchbox, the patient word, the night you showed up tired but still showed up. It can feel like none of it adds up to much. But God sees a whole life, not just a hard Tuesday, and he has a way of making ordinary faithfulness last.
"And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it."
- Psalm 90:17 (KJV)
Before tonight ends, think of one small thing you did for your family this week, something you almost dismissed as nothing. Name it, and thank God for it. Let him tell you it counted.
Lord, take the small and imperfect things I have done for my family and make them matter. Let your goodness run through our home long after I am gone. I trust you with all of it. Amen.
