Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This morning I want to speak on a subject that I have entitled Reset. Renew, Rewired. Reset, Renew, Rewired. Now, when we're talking about reset, it's something entirely different. it means that when you're talking about reset where do you where do you normally talk about reset reset is most when you let's say something let me make for argument's sake let me make an argument I mean an example sorry an example is that when you looking at a Wi modem for argument sake a Wi modem is made by the factory and then when there an issue you press a button or some button that is deep within and that button you reset the unit to factory fault the factory settings like your phone when you take your phone and your phone is giving you issues you now take that phone and put it back to factory settings so you put it back to factory settings that's reset and then renew meaning to say that something that was new and now it became old and now you have to make it new again so it's renew that's that's uh renew then we're talking about rewired now rewire is like making an example of an of a of a house or a car whichever one let's make it of an of a house now when a house the um They call it circuit breaker, the CB, like circuit breaker. So when the circuit breaker keeps on cutting, like the electricity keeps on going up, off and on, off and on, and you don't know what is the problem. and you take out, you plug out some things and you plug out some things like all the electronics has been taken out but still the electricity keeps on tripping then it means that you need to rewire the house so rewiring is something that i can say to you that's after a problem now i wanna i wanna i wanna give this to you by saying to you also there a there is something we call a blueprint for your comeback a god given blueprint for your comeback now what i mean by this is that sometimes you you you you get into a situation where you you literally just need some sort of a blueprint from god To come back to where God has placed you or where he has found you. Now, I want to start with a few things. Let's talk about your own life. The Bible says we are made in his image. So, which means that when God made us in his image, he made us to be perfect or if I can ask you if the Bible says God is perfect does it mean that you're not perfect if God is perfect does it mean you're not perfect does it mean that you're not perfect because if God is perfect it means that it helps you to be perfect I'm just looking for the scripture quickly when you're going to Genesis 1 now Genesis 1 verse 26 says then God said let us make let us make mankind in our inner image in our likeness that is Genesis 1 verse 26 so when he said that it meant that you are perfectly done you were perfectly done so when God created humanity everything was perfect meaning to say even the mindset was perfect we were designed to think in alignment with God and not just in alignment but in alignment to God will and to God truth That is what was made And therefore the topic today I said is to reset you back to God where God has started you then to renew where there's some old things happening and then also I said to you I said reset, renew and rewire so there's three things that I want you to go through and three things that I want us to go through now that is the start of things but I want you to to look at your life and see why am I tripping? No, no, not that. Why are you tripping? Not to say why are you, what? You know most when it comes to tripping. So how do you diagnose your tripping? How do you diagnose your tripping? Especially, let me make an example. There's some diagnostics, if I can say it that way, that will show you that something is tripping. That can show you something is tripping. Number one is, say for instance, you have a lot of fear and worry. You are tripping. That is what makes the circuit breaker to keep on tripping. Because there's fear, there's worry. But the Bible says, specifically, do not be anxious. Let me go to the Bible verse, Philippians 4. He says, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything or every situation, by prayer and petition, by thanksgiving, present your request to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus. So, once there is fear, it means that your main switch is starting to drop. You need rewiring from that. So once you start tripping because of fear, this is what the Bible says. For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. That's in 2 Timothy 1 verse 7. So I'm going to go through it quickly just because I can see from my notes it will take a long time for us to get through this. So I want to make sure that I do get time for everything. so diagnostic diagnose diagnosing your tripping switches is to diagnose what God said about you because if God says to you not to fear why do you fear and worry because according to the Bible trust in God's provision and his promise that's what he says there's another trip switch that I can say to you also you feel disconnected from God. Now, when you are disconnected from God, it means that the wiring is here, but the circuit breaker or the CB box, the circuit breaker box is too far from you. And you need something to switch it on. Now, how do you know that you are disconnected from God? It is through the sins in your life. Sin or lack of faith actually. That makes you to feel disconnected from God. Have you ever felt a place where you feel like, I need more, I need God more, more now. That is when you feel, when you are disconnected. This is, this is that those things that where drunk people, I don't know if you ever noticed, drunk people, they have a tendency of whenever they're drunk, they start singing the gospel songs or they want to sing gospel songs. You know somebody like that, mustn't he? So anytime whenever you feel disconnected, it's the time when you want to be closer to God. That's when sin happens. Because the Bible says in 1 John 1 verse 19, he says that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness and purify us from all unrighteousness that is what the bible says but also remember that there's another scripture that says in james 4 verse 8 now it says that draw near to god and he will draw near to you so it's a start of drawing and that is what makes the disconnection that is what makes the disconnection so how do you also tripping you know that tripping where you feel like something is not right is when sickness starts becoming I mean start coming into your life then you know you are trippy it means that there's some sort of a connection issue between you and god there's some sort of a connection issue between you and god so what does that that means is that when you go back to the bible it says three uh when i go to three john um one verse two and i'm going to go through the a lot of scriptures so you just need to write them down because I want to make sure that you do get all of them. That's keys. So 1 John, I mean 3 John 1 verse 2. Now, 3 John 1 verse 2 says, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prosper just as your soul prosper so be in health just as your soul prosper so this trip switch is your health because the bible says that if you go to the the the isaiah 53 verse 5 he says that he has fears he was pierced for our transgression he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed so which means that the moment you feel like tripping in your health it means that somehow you somehow your wiring is not connected with God wiring Then there's another trip switch that I also see quite a lot. And this is a trip switch that had to do with most people. And that's a trip switch of financial life. because you you're forgetting god's provision and god's promises of abundance because god has promised abundance if you go to um to philippians 4 verse 19 he says this as following and my god will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in christ jesus all your needs so many financial needs is also taken care of so if the trip switch of your financial side is keep on if it keeps on tripping then it means that there's a disconnection between God's promises for God's provision I mean God's provision promise to you and between you and God because even if you go back to Haggai Haggai 2 verse 8 says the following there The silver is mine and the gold is mine, declares the Lord Almighty. So which means that when you're looking for silver or gold, you need to request or ask for it from God. Silver is mine, the gold is mine. Meaning your financial trip switch is in God. If there's a problem with your financial things, you need to go back to God. then there's another trip switch that we all go through sometimes and that is the trip switch of loneliness sometimes you feel lonely you have so many people surrounding you but yet you feel lonely you have so many people speaking to you but yet you feel lonely remember the bible says that the bible says says the following it says in in hebrews 13 verse 5 never will i leave you never will i forsake you that hebrews 13 verse 5 so many to say that even though you feel lonely god is still with you you just need to have that trip switch checked out because that trip switch is the reason what that makes you to feel lonely he says he stick closer to a brother he stick closer than a brother if i if i if i take another scripture he says the lord is close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit psalm 34 verse 18 meaning to say that god is closer to you but because of the trip switch there's a rewiring that needs to be done between you and God. So diagnosing meaning is to check the areas of your life when you feel disconnected worried or in lack. So how do you rewire that? Rewiring is literally putting yourself to reaffirm your identity in Christ. How do you reaffirm your identity in Christ? It's by remembering God's promises. That's how you rewire yourself back to God. Thank you. So God created mankind in His own image. In the image of God He created them, male and female He created them. So you were made perfect in His image. so the only thing you need to do is to return to the truth whatever or made you to trip i'm tripping i'm not tripping that's what um what the americans hey dude why are you tripping why are you tripping that's what the the TV says you know us here in South Africa we don't use that word we don't use that word but that is a nice way of showing to you that when God has made us he has made us perfectly but somehow our wiring has had a problem. Our wiring has had a problem. So that is why we need rewiring. You heard I said, it's reset, renew and rewire. That is the, I'm giving you the blueprint to have a comeback from where you are. So the blueprint of rewiring is to take the things that I just said to you now, which, if I can give you a quick one, is to say, through worry and fear, no need to trip yourself, because God's word is there for you. god has not given us a spirit of fear number two saying the disconnection that you feel is somehow need you to be rewired by knowing that draw near to god and he will draw near to you then i said through sickness beloved i pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prosper that is number three then I said to you rewiring through your financial lack silver is mine and gold is mine And then I said to you number five through loneliness you tripping through loneliness, never will I leave you, nor will I forsake you. I actually forgot one more. You need to rewire your life through the Holy Spirit. That's another one I forgot. That is why I said, let me go through my notes and make sure that I get it through the notes. Now, rewiring your life through the Holy Spirit, this is an operating system that can get you nicely done. The Bible says in Romans 12 verse 2 It says do not conform to the pattern of this world But be transformed by the renewing of your minds Then you shall be able to test and approve what God's will is His good, pleasing and perfect will Not just God's will but His good, pleasing and perfect will So walk by the Spirit and you will not be gratified the desire of the flesh Galatians 5 verse 16 so that's another one which rewiring can help you so I'm going rewiring to renew and I'm still going to go back to the scripture that is in Romans 12 verse 2 renew your mind with god's truth meaning to say that the only way there will be a renewal now let me explain to you renewal if we talk about re the word re and new meaning to say that there was some time ago there was something new in you it doesn't mean that it's only new now it means that it was new and got old and now it renewed again so which means that your mind has been renewed it means that it goes back to factory fault if I can say it that way So how do you renew your mind? is by meditating on God's word daily to transform your thinking. Because renewing starts, I mean, our thinking, no, no, no. Let me go back to, do you know there's a word, the psalmist says is it psalmist? I mean proverbs, sorry says that as a man thinketh so is he as a man thinketh so what are you thinking about today what are you thinking about today because as a man thinketh so is he so if you thinking of defeat you are already defeated so as a man thinker meaning to say let me start off by saying you need to know the source of your thinking because you can be renewed through negative thinking because your mind could be positive the whole time or your mind can be god conscious or your your mind can be seeing things of god but then it happened that the devil comes in and speaking some things that makes you to think of something bad If you looking at circumstances like the way you how you were brought up or how past experience gave you and how the worldly things influence you It led us to a lot of lies. Lies that we didn't understand at the time when we were young. Like for argument's sake, let me make an example. there was a time when i told you i cannot buy the phone because i didn't have money but do you have a phone now you have a phone again there was a time when i said to you the phone screen i can't fix it it's too expensive but i fixed it again so what i'm trying to say is that at the time when I speak to you, I speak out of my pocket. You know when you speak out of your pocket, when somebody asks you, Hey, Kopang Karima, 20 Rand. At the time when there's no 20 Rand in the pocket, you say I don't have out of the pocket that you currently have. You see what I'm saying? But the circumstances made you to get to a point where you say, I don't have. In the meantime, things could change and it will make you to have it. So that is what we call circumstantial evidence in your life so don't let circumstantial evidence in your life affect your mind if you if you're looking at it there's a description of second Corinthians second Corinthians of four The Bible says as following The Bible says that The weapon we fight The weapon we Fight with Are not the weapons of this world On contrary They have divine power To demolish strongholds We demolish arguments And every pretension That set itself up Against the knowledge of God We take captive every thought to make it to Obedience to God, to Christ. So which means that every pretension that set itself up against the knowledge of God. How do you know God to be? If you know God to be a provider, why do you keep on seeing Him as a taker? somebody to take from you only but He provided so you need to take the mind captive and believing that He is God not believing the lies that the enemy tells you so acknowledge that the source of everything starts with God and always make sure that whenever the source is with God, number two, use God's word, meaning to say the truth about God, who He is really, and replace it with that. So meditating on God's word daily, because once you meditate on God's word daily, this is where Romans 12 comes in, where it says do not conform to this pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds. And not just renewing of your mind but renewing of your mind then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is. So how do you test and approve what God's will is is by somebody saying to you, you are useless. The first thing you say, let me test if I'm useless. And you take God's word and go and ask God in God's word, where does it say I'm useless? If there's no saying that you are useless, it means it's not the perfect will of God for your life. Because His will, His good, pleasing and His perfect world So that is how you see Knowing the source number one and knowing the true God who God is and then also loving as a victorious child of God. Victory is already yours. There's no need to keep on fighting a battle while He already said that He will fight for you. Romans 8 verse 37 says it. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loves us. So we are more than conquerors through him who loves us. So how can you say, no, we are more than conquerors? What are you saying? We are more than conquerors. So in Christ you are victorious and have authority over life's challenges. Life's challenges sometimes come seen as a weak thing, but we're making it strong by our experience before things. I couldn't pick up a glass before because my hands were shaking. Now today I don't want to pick up the glass because I'm afraid my hands are going to shake again. it means that your past experience made you not to pick up the glass because of the shaking of hands but now suddenly you are fine you were telling me day before yesterday when you got up you got a bit dizzy now when you got dizzy the first thing you thought hey what's wrong now imagine you don't want to stand up again because you're afraid you're going to get dizzy again. That is what it means. You are already victorious so you can stand. Number four is to trust God's strength and not your own. Do you know that some of the things we can do at all some of the things we can do you need to understand that in your own strength you can't do anything according to philippians 4 verse 13 he says i can do all this through him who gives me strength I can do all this through Him who gave me strength. So if the strength is in yourself, you might not be able to do certain things. So go back to God's strength and not your own. Because once you rely on your own strength, you might be defeated. Number five. There's negative thoughts that need to be replaced. with godly thoughts. Negative thoughts that needs to be replaced by godly thoughts. Shift your focus to God's goodness and promises. If you're looking at Philippians 4 verse 8, finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, Is it the truth? I'm thinking about that one Whatever is noble Is it noble? I'm thinking of that one Whatever is right Is it right? I'm thinking of that one Whatever is pure Is it pure? I'm thinking of that one Whatever is lovely Is it lovely? I'm thinking of that Whatever is admirable Is it admirable? I'm thinking of that If anything is excellent or praiseworthy Think about such things so you need to shift your negative things to these positive things of God and then I would like you to number 6 affirm your identity in Christ how do you affirm your identity in Christ the Bible says therefore if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come the old one is gone the new is here so which means that the things that you have done before has become old news you need to focus now and put it that identity in Christ I used to be a drunkard I'm no longer I used to be an abuser I'm no longer Instead of you saying I am an abuser, you say I'm a lover. That is identify, I mean affirm your identity in Christ. I used to be a stutterer, now I speak purely. I speak nicely. That's affirming. Number seven Develop faith Through God's promises You remember the Bible says Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God The word of Christ Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of Christ So when you feel like you are doubting Thomas, you want to put your finger through the ribs and feel like if he were the one that was crucified for you, go back to God's word and affirm it. Because anytime, whenever you hear the word of God, if you feel like your faith is not there, ask God, open up my ears so that I can hear better and have a faith just like a mustard seed, as small as a mustard seed. Yeah, as small as a mustard seed. Do you know that there's actually a time I was preaching about it. I don't know if you can remember. But I was preaching about it. I said to you, if your faith is not small enough, I mean, if it's not good enough and you need to move a mountain, If you can't move it, start off by using a teaspoon and start moving that mountain. If the teaspoon is Stop moving it. Start using a spade. Hraf. If the hraf or the spade doesn't work, use Kanda Kanda. What's that thing called? TLB. Whatever. That yellowish machine. I don't know the name. Sometimes us Africans we tend to just use certain words. when do you know what is gandaganda? Seriously? Something yeah, loader something to load but what I'm talking about that we used to call it in Afrikaans you see so that thing use that thing if your faith is not good enough use that if all elves fail use your legs and walk over it. That is how faith is. You start doing something. Because remember, faith without words is dead. That is faith. Oh, I actually didn't even check my notes. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. So meaning to say the hope that you have in God. Faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ. And number eight, walk in gratitude and praise. Something about walking in gratitude, it allows you that your mind only look for the better things, the good things. it doesn't allow you or your focus, let me rather say it that way is not much on the bed this is what gratitude does because gratitude literally rewires your mind to focus on God's blessing rather than the things that you can almost call it life's difficulties, like let me say it that way Give thanks in all circumstances according to Thessalonians 5 verse 18 give thanks in all circumstances for this is god will for you in christ jesus so which means that whenever you you're looking at things and you're always looking for good things like if i make an example you hear Can you hear? There is a sound that sounds different. And when I play it on my way, it doesn't sound nice but when I play it with a song I'm looking for a song that can give me to play better you hear how it sounds nice when you add it together. But just like this it doesn't sound it doesn't make sense. But the more you look for things the more you look for things better that is better. The more you find things better. That is looking for to be grateful to God. So number one is one of the things to say is that to rewire our thinking, we need to identify and reject the lies that Satan is telling us. renewing our minds by meditating on scriptures, replacing negative thoughts with God's truth, reaffirm our identity as victorious children of God, trust God's power and promises By doing so we align with the Proverbs that says uh the proverbs of 23 verse 7 that says for as a man thinketh in his heart so we see so when we think according to god word we love as he intended us to live we love according to how he intended us to live Now, I want to come back to, I've done the rewiring, renewing. I want to reset it to factory fault, to default to factory fault. What is our default? It's according to Genesis 1.26. Now according to Genesis 1.26 Then God said let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness So how do you reset? You reset by going back to as God has made you Do you know that when a child is small, like young They don't have fear for anything They don't fear anything it's you tell them to fear oh don't fall oh this oh that because you keep on reaffirming the fear in them because a child once a child grow up they don't grow up with something they know they can't do like for arguments like there's a something I saw on on the social media the child was taking a chicken and then when the child took the chicken now this is a young boy probably two to three or four years or something he took the chicken he put the chicken on the on the chair of a bicycle and then when he picked up the bicycle, the chicken sat on that bicycle. Because the child didn know that once you take a chicken you put a chicken there the chicken will fly away or run away but because the child knew in the child mind a chicken can ride a bicycle in their mind that what they thought and therefore the child didn't fail but these are the things that we get taught as we grow old certain things is just whatever you can't go out in the dark but do you know that when you go out in the dark let's take a one night any night that you can think of the moment you come from this kind of light the light is that is in the house when you go out is dark dark dark too dark but then let's say it's low cherry and you go out you can clearly see oh there's the tree there's the car this is like literally as if you are seeing a total light because of your eyes adjust to the light that is outside. Now I'm asking you how did that happen? It's resetting to your default setting which God has already been given to you. So our minds were originally new. It was new. There was never a time where we had to renew our minds. It's only circumstances that made us to renew our minds. and Adam and Eve didn't make it even better because through them that fall corrupted our minds sin entered into the world through Adam and Eve distorting humanity's perfect state including our minds as a result our thoughts and inclination becomes influenced by sin look at the scripture Genesis 6 verse 5 the Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth and that every inclination of the thought of the human heart was only evil all the time that is what happened this shows us sin has corrupted our minds taking it far from our original far from our original state of mind now the bible says therefore if anyone is in christ is a new creation If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here. So while salvation makes us spiritually new, the mind needs ongoing renewal to fully reflect our new identity in Christ. So reset it to factory fault. The command to renew your mind in Romans 12 implies that renewal is a return to God's design for how we think and we love. It's a process of unlearning the patterns of this fallen world and learning to think like Christ. If you go to Ephesians 4 Ephesians 4 verse 22 says the following You were taught with regard to your former way of life to put off your old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires to be made new in the attitude of your minds and to put on the new self created to be like god in true righteousness and holiness this indicates that the original new mind was created the righteousness and holiness And I want to go lastly to the role of the Holy Spirit in renewing your mind. Because the Holy Spirit helps you transform your mind. It teaches us to think in ways that honor God and align with God's will. Because the Bible says in John 16 verse 13, it says, but when he, the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all the truth he will guide you into all the truth not part of the truth, all the truth so in conclusion the term renew in Romans 12 suggested a return to the original new state of mind To the return of the original new state of mind that is what humanity had before sin entered the world so that is renewing so it means we need to go back to the factory reset and Christ offered us the ability to be restored and the process of renewing our minds how we reclaim that original design so remember restoration is an ongoing how do you say it's an ongoing thing and it requires us to always align our thinking with God's word. How does God's word say how you need to think? So reject worldly patterns, things that is not from God, and depend on the Holy Spirit to transform our thoughts. Like Roman Freud says, call us to reclaim the newness we were always meant to have in God. I've made sure that today I have not deviated from my notes to make sure that I keep the message as ease so that you can reset renew and rewire yourself and by doing that that is a blueprint for you to go back to where you come from if i can say that way to give you a breakthrough again heavenly father i come to you you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and I pray this morning that as we will be coming back to our reset default situations for the dark we will be made new in your image like you have intended it to be since the beginning of this world and therefore in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior I pray this morning anybody under the sound of my voice will be renewed by that in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and everybody that feels like they were not made new, give them an opportunity to be made new through Christ, who gave us that renewal of strength in the mighty name of Jesus. Now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide with us all until Jesus comes. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives, and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. In Jesus' mighty name, amen and amen.
